Rustomjee Group Collaborates with DBIS-MUN 2025 to Empower Youth in Reimagining India's Future Cities

A partnership built on purpose, participation, and the power of young ideas Mumbai, 13 August 2025: Rustomjee Group partnered with Don Bosco International School's Model United Nations (DBIS-MUN) 2025 as a key supporter in a collaboration that brings together education, imagination, and urban development. Taking place in Mumbai, this association was anchored in the theme 'Future Cities of India' and aimed to create an active platform for school students. This initiative reflected Rustomjee's ongoing commitment to its core philosophy of 'Building Better Futures' by engaging meaningfully with young minds and enabling real dialogue around sustainability, inclusion, and thoughtful design in city-making. Through this partnership, Rustomjee hoped to amplify youth voices, empower civic imagination, and co-create a vision for cities that are not only built better, but lived better. As part of this initiative, Rustomjee introduced the Rustomjee Youth Fellowship, a first-of-its-kind platform designed to invite MUN delegates to reflect on what kind of cities they wish to live in. DBIS-MUN 2025 took place at Don Bosco International School with participation from over 240 student delegates from across schools. The event opened with a keynote address and participation from Mr. Percy Chowdhry, Executive Director of Rustomjee Group culminated in the felicitation of the top three Youth Fellowship winners, whose work was presented at the closing ceremony and will feature across Rustomjee's digital platforms. Beyond the Fellowship, Rustomjee's on-ground engagement at the MUN included a thoughtfully curated installation called The Future Wall. Each student received a symbolic brick, on which they wrote one idea, one wish, or one change they hope to see in the cities of tomorrow. These bricks came together to form a collective installation — not just a wall of ideas, but a shared vision crafted by the very generation that will shape what comes next. Additionally, Rustomjee unveiled its Cities of Tomorrow booklet at the event. It captures both the changing vocabulary of urban development across the world and how Rustomjee is bringing some of those principles to life across its ongoing and upcoming projects. Mr. Percy Chowdhry, Executive Director of Rustomjee Group, reflected on the significance of the initiative, stating, "At Rustomjee, we believe the true blueprint of a city is shaped not just by its buildings, but by the dreams and voices of the people who live in it. Our partnership with DBIS-MUN is about giving the next generation a platform to be heard. We're investing in their imagination, their ideas, and the belief that meaningful change often begins with a single question from a young mind.' This collaboration between Rustomjee and DBIS-MUN is not a one-off campaign, it is a reflection of what meaningful brand engagement can look like when it places purpose before promotion. Rustomjee Group Deepens Its Sustainability Commitment with Landmark Plantation Drive at Kasara

VMPL Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 6: As part of its continued commitment to environmental stewardship and inclusive community engagement, Rustomjee Group, a leading Mumbai-based real estate developer, successfully completed Phase Two of its flagship sustainability initiative 'Go Green Kasara 25', with the plantation of over 10,000 native saplings in the ecologically significant region of Kasara. This effort forms a vital step in Rustomjee's long-term vision to plant over 50,000 trees, driving large-scale biodiversity restoration and encouraging grassroots participation across the landscape. The plantation drive will be graced by Prof. (Dr.) Arun D. Sawant, Director of WTERT-India and President of SOCLEEN and FOT, as the Chief Guest. A distinguished academician and environmental scientist, Dr. Sawant has held leadership roles including Vice Chancellor of the University of Rajasthan and Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Mumbai. Held at Rustomjee Belle Vue, Kasara, on 3rd August 2025 the plantation drive witnessed enthusiastic participation from 250+ volunteers, including Rustomjee employees, customers, NGOs, local citizens, and eco-conscious partners. The event was a powerful collaboration with CREDAI, Freedom Foundation and Natural Solution, bringing together scientific know-how, grassroots mobilization, and corporate responsibility. "True sustainability goes beyond green certifications, it must be rooted in empathy, science, and long-term impact. Through initiatives like Go Green Kasara 25, we are not only planting trees, but we are also nurturing legacies, reconnecting communities to nature and shaping resilient futures." -- Mr. Boman Rustom Irani, Chairman and Managing Director, Rustomjee Group The trees planted were carefully selected native species, chosen for their ability to thrive in Kasara's specific ecological conditions, contribute to carbon capture, groundwater recharge, soil regeneration, and support local biodiversity. The drive was not just about planting trees, it was about rebuilding ecosystems and reinstating nature's rhythm in a region undergoing rapid transformation. "For us, sustainability is not an afterthought, it's a responsibility. At Rustomjee, we are building ecosystems, not just buildings. Through every tree we plant, every community we engage, we reaffirm our purpose, to build a future where people and the planet thrive together." -- Mrs. Namrata Nulwalla, ESG & Sustainability Lead, Rustomjee Group This initiative reflects Rustomjee's holistic environmental strategy under its sustainability vision of 'A Beautiful Life', aiming to harmonize real estate with natural ecosystems. The scientific direction was led by Natural Solution, an environmental solutions firm founded by Dr. Ajit Gokhale known for pioneering reed bed STPs, greywater reuse systems, and native biodiversity restoration. Their role ensured each sapling was suited to thrive with minimal maintenance and maximum ecological gain. Meanwhile, Freedom Foundation, under the leadership of Alpa Shah, infused the event with community spirit, managing event logistics, volunteer engagement, and environmental awareness activities on-ground.
