Samsung confirms Exynos 2600 will be the first 2nm chipset on the market Comments
thirteen, 2 hours ago .1mm chips were used around 50 years ago. Any modern chip of that size is gonna be shit lol I meant 0.1nm A I will avoid any phone with Exynos 2600, unless there is cataclysmic event and it wipes the floor of the competition. The S22 Ultra has been plagued with all sort of issue, including dying after the firmware update. Exynos is not a flagship chipset, mid-range at best. i hopefully not "first on the market and first to fail" Z Nobody cares about temu quality soc S 15 % better gpu for playing a game btw, I thought Apple had already secure the 2nm from Qualcomm? Though I'm not really sure if they are using Fin-Fet? Does GAA even allow such low pitch when going down to sub 2nm? Anonymous, 1 hour ago this is comedy, the first 2nm but not used by the ultra Samsung can easily put the Exynos back in the Ultra, like they did in the S22 Ultra. Would people accept it? That's the more important question to answer. 6x efficiency units? Well, I expect a solid, if not impressive, battery life from phones with it. H Anonymous, 1 hour ago this is comedy, the first 2nm but not used by the ultra Qualcomm 2nm is superior and efficient. There is nothing crazy about those funny marketing "2mm", "3mm" claims, no chip really contains elements of these sizes. It's just the gate pitch going from around 48mm gate pitch and 24mm metal pitch (for those so called "3mm" chip) to respectively 45mm and 20mm (for "2mm"). I wonder how they will call that beyond "1mm". But who would buy a 45mm or even 20mm advertised chip nowadays... ? this is comedy, the first 2nm but not used by the ultra I Am GoD 9, 2 hours ago "Pixel Tensor 6 to ship with Exynos 2600 based chip for Pixel " Thankfully no, Google has moved away from Samsung fab. "Exynos 2600 is expected to debut on the Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Edge, while the S26 Ultra should stick with Qualcomm's flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite 2." So, once again they know their own chipset isn't capable enough to stand a chance against Qualcomm's best, even though it's going to be the first 2nm chipset on the market. I "Pixel Tensor 6 to ship with Exynos 2600 based chip for Pixel " ? The Exynos 2500 has terrible energy efficiency, as can be clearly seen in the test of the new Flip. Over the past 10 years, they have never managed to achieve good energy efficiency with their Exynos processors, so why should it be any different with the new 2600? The main thing is that I get a Snapdragon in the S-ULTRA model in my market. Otherwise, I'll switch to the new Chinese models, which are already miles better. ? Heating and hot chpian, less battery backup then display green line t Wesker, 3 hours ago Could be 0.1mm for all i care, it'll still be an overheating-gens behind-battery hog. Sam... more .1mm chips were used around 50 years ago. Any modern chip of that size is gonna be shit lol Z People sont care its 2nm or even 1nm they promise big in perfomance, heat management and battery life but all remain in papers only Could be 0.1mm for all i care, it'll still be an overheating-gens behind-battery hog. Samsung's only goal with Exynos is to make more money per unit sold, it's not and was never to make better phones. ? i can already see how much money they will put in marketing trying to wash their bad image, overpaying all kind of reviewers trying to convince is this time is not a flop a This only thing it means is that it'll be better than Samsung's previous processs since these "Xnm" numbers are now purely marketing anyway. It'd be much more interesting to know the actual transistor density
