Previewing the 2025 season for Texas A&M OL Trey Zuhn III with his player profile

As we gear up for the 2025 football season, Aggies Wire is breaking down every player on the Texas A&M roster. Throughout the preseason, each profile will highlight a player's background, recruiting rankings out of high school, and projected role under head coach Mike Elko. Trey Zuhn III is one of three Aggies on the offensive line considered among the premier players at his position in the conference. He's held a starting spot since his redshirt freshman season and routinely picked up awards at the team's annual banquets. He was part of the group that helped the running game rank 26th in the nation and second in the SEC, averaging 195.5 yards per game. Zuhn could have entered the NFL Draft this year after a season in which he was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week and earned a spot on the 2024 All-SEC Third Team. Instead, he chose to return for a chance to compete for an SEC title and improve his stock ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft. Preseason Player Profile Recruiting Rankings (Class of 2021) The former four-star prospect was a top recruit out of Colorado, where he was a two-sport athlete, competing in shot put and discus alongside football. Depth Chart Outlook Trey Zuhn III is a Day 1 starter at left tackle and is expected to be one of several Aggies linemen drafted in 2026. His size, footwork, and impressive athleticism make him one of the most important players on the 2025 roster, protecting Marcel Reed's blindside throughout the season. Three Florida football linemen earn spots on prestigious 2025 award watch lists

Florida football saw three of its linemen earn early recognition for two of the sport's most coveted postseason honors. On Tuesday, the Gators placed a pair of offensive linemen–center Jake Slaughter and tackle Austin Barber–on the 2025 Outland Trophy watch list, an award honoring the top interior lineman in college football. Slaughter started all 13 games at center last season for the Orange and Blue and led Florida's offensive line in offensive snaps with 800. He led the Gators in Pro Football Focus' offense, pass-block and run-block grades. Pro Football Focus also regarded Slaughter as the SEC's top offensive player heading into the 2025 season. Barber, a left tackle, also started all 13 games last season for the Gators. He logged a total of 729 offensive snaps with a run block grade of 70.0 according to Pro Football Focus. He was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week during Week 4 after scoring his first career touchdown in the fourth quarter against Mississippi State. Defensive tackle Caleb Banks picked up his own preseason nod, landing on the Bronko Nagurski Trophy watch list. The Nagurski is awarded annually to the nation's best defensive player, regardless of position, and has been one of the highest marks of individual defensive excellence in the sport. Last season, Banks logged 21 tackles (10 solo) that included seven tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and a recovered fumble in 10 starts. He also set a career-high in snaps played (56) against Tennessee. The Outland field will be narrowed to six or seven semifinalists on Nov. 19, with three finalists named on Nov. 25. The winner will be revealed during the Home Depot College Football Awards on Dec. 12. For the Nagurski, four finalists will be announced in mid-to-late November before the trophy is presented on Dec. 8. Both honors fall under the umbrella of the National College Football Awards Association and stand as benchmarks of elite play in the sport. Which Aggies made the 2025 preseason All-SEC team?

College football is right around the corner, and the Southeastern Conference just dropped its preseason All-SEC teams Friday morning. From top to bottom, the SEC boasts the most talented rosters in the NCAA, so these selections always come with some scrutiny. For Texas A&M, the picks were fair and well-deserved. An argument could be made that a few Aggies should've landed on the first or second team, but ultimately, the right players were recognized. And let's be real: preseason predictions hold zero weight—they're just snapshots of future projections based on past production. Aggie fans know this firsthand, after watching the 2025 A&M baseball team miss the postseason despite entering the year ranked No. 1. Before we dive into the Aggies who made the cut, it's worth noting a few names that might spark memories if you've followed recruiting battles the past few seasons. Anthony Hill, Cam Coleman, and Harold Perkins were all once A&M commits who flipped to other programs late. LT Overton and Eli Stowers transferred out for better opportunities, and both have flourished—especially Stowers, now one of the best tight ends in the nation. Without further ado, here are the Aggies selected to the 2025 preseason All-SEC teams: First Team The lone first-team Aggie, Moss, earned this recognition. The senior was well on pace for a 1,000-yard, 12–15 touchdown season before suffering a season-ending injury after nine games. He landed on the 2024 All-SEC Second Team and earned Offensive MVP honors at the team's awards banquet. Moss finished with 765 yards on 121 carries and 10 touchdowns. Second Team A transfer from Kansas, Reed-Adams started every game at right guard. He helped power an offense that averaged 195.5 rushing yards per game—second-best in the SEC. Though he received a solid draft grade, the graduate student chose to return for one final season and will serve as a team captain. Zuhn has demonstrated year-over-year growth since its arrival in 2021. As another veteran leader up front, he played a key role in A&M's top-30 rushing attack. In 2024, he earned SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week, landed on the All-SEC Third Team, and took home the Offensive Trenches Award at the team banquet. He'll also captain the 2025 squad. Lee transferred in and immediately made his presence felt, starting all 12 regular-season games. At 6'3" with rangy arms, he posed a tough matchup for opposing receivers and ranked fifth in the SEC with 10 pass breakups. He finished with 39 tackles, 12 passes defended, and two interceptions—one returned for a touchdown. He earned a 2024 All-SEC Second Team spot and won the Defensive Skill award at the banquet. Third Team Bisontis likely could've landed on the second team had he not missed three games due to injury. Like Zuhn and Reed-Adams, he played a key role in anchoring the ground game while helping protect the quarterback amid instability at the position. In 2023, he earned ESPN All-American and All-SEC Freshman honors. What York lacks in size and speed, he more than makes up for with instincts and football IQ. A relative unknown heading into his freshman season, York grabbed the starting role and thrived. He earned spots on the ESPN and All-SEC Freshman teams and was named a Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Semifinalist. The team captain led A&M with 82 tackles—12th-best in the SEC—and finished with 83 tackles, 9.5 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, and an interception. Cameron Williams signs rookie contract with Philadelphia Eagles

Cameron Williams signs rookie contract with Philadelphia Eagles The Philadelphia Eagles continued solidifying their 2025 rookie class Tuesday, signing sixth-round offensive tackle Cameron Williams to a four-year contract. The Philadelphia Eagles have signed rookie offensive tackle Cameron Williams to a four-year contract, the team announced Tuesday, as they continue to finalize their 2025 draft class. Williams, selected with the 207th overall pick in the sixth round of the NFL Draft, was a standout at Texas, where he started 16 games and helped anchor an offensive line that was a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, given to the nation's top unit. Williams, 21, measures 6-foot-6 and 317 pounds, bringing notable size and reach to the Eagles' offensive line group. During his college career, he played in 37 games and earned SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week honors in Texas' first season in the conference. He allowed only two sacks in 2024, according to Pro Football Focus, but was flagged 16 times, making him the second-most penalized offensive lineman in the FBS that season. The Eagles are expected to develop Williams under veteran offensive line coach and run game coordinator Jeff Stoutland, who has a reputation for molding young linemen into reliable starters. Williams will likely enter training camp as the fourth tackle on the depth chart, behind Lane Johnson, Jordan Mailata and Fred Johnson. Williams' contract is valued at $4.1 million, with $320,000 guaranteed. He joins a Philadelphia draft class focused on bolstering both sides of the line of scrimmage, with only Jihaad Campbell and Drew Mukuba remaining unsigned as of Tuesday. 'I'm here to learn from the best. However long that takes, I'll be ready,' Williams said after signing. While Williams' physical tools and experience at a high level are clear, the Eagles will look to reduce his penalty rate and refine his technique as he transitions to the NFL.

BREAKING: Former Texas Longhorn OT Kelvin Banks Jr. drafted by New Orleans Saints

BREAKING: Former Texas Longhorn OT Kelvin Banks Jr. drafted by New Orleans Saints Former Texas Longhorns offensive tackle Kelvin Banks, Jr. has been drafted by the New Orleans Saints. The reigning Lombardi Award and Outland Trophy winner was taken 9th in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. Banks's achievements earned him national recognition in 2024. In addition to winning the Lombardi Award and Outland Trophy, Banks played a key role in Texas being named a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, which recognizes the best offensive line unit in the nation. He also earned SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week honors twice (September 30 and October 14). Banks anchored a line that allowed two Texas running backs to surpass 100 rushing yards in a game while helping the Longhorns amass 292 rushing yards and 202 passing yards in key matchups. His return in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl CFP Quarterfinal was a game-changer, as Texas defeated Arizona State 38-28. Banks provided protection that allowed QB Quinn Ewers to throw for a season-high 322 yards and three touchdowns, as the offense averaged 6.2 yards per play. Banks was consistent at Texas, starting 42 games and helping to protect Arch Manning and Quinn Ewers. With Banks leading the offensive line, Texas put points on the board in a hurry and was hard to stop. Follow us on X/Twitter at @LonghornsWire.
