Longhorns women's basketball reveals 2025-26 conference schedule

With the women's college basketball season just a few months away, Longhorns fans can start marking their calendars. On Tuesday, Texas revealed its SEC slate for the 2025-2026 season. After falling just a few wins short of a national title last year, they have a few exciting matchups on the horizon. During the 2025-2026 campaign, Texas is set to welcome Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M to the Moody Center. In conference play, they will go on the road to face Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, LSU, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt. The Longhorns' first conference home game will come on January 4th when they take on Ole Miss. Four days later, Auburn will make the trip to Forty Acres before Texas goes on the road to face LSU and South Carolina. The January slate also includes trips to Fayetteville on the 25th and Gainesville on the 29th. When the regular season comes to an end, Texas will shift its focus to the 2026 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament. It will be held at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. The tournament, which will include all 16 games, is set to start on March 4 and end on March 8th. While the Longhorns will be looking to add another conference title to the rafters, they also have unfinished business. Last season, they made it to the Final Fur before their season came to an end. With a roster full of talent and retiring stars such as Madison Booker, they are poised to build on their success. In conference play, Texas will be able to show just how good they are. If they can mirror their success from the 2023-2024 campaign, the rest of the SEC could be in trouble.
