For Filipino-Canadian Hollywood actor Manny Jacinto, starring alongside Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis in 'Freakier Friday' feels like a dream. Manny attended the Philippine premiere of the 'Freaky Friday' sequel on Tuesday, where he expressed his excitement about being part of the cult classic franchise. 'It feels like a dream. Honestly, I never would have thought that I'd be, you know, I was born here [Philippines] so like a local boy that gets to act opposite Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis is wild to me,' Manny said. 'Never would have thought. But here we are,' he added. The actor also charmed Filipino fans by speaking Tagalog, his words made more endearing by his Canadian accent. 'Sana panoorin ninyo ang 'Freakier Friday.' Maraming maraming salamat po,' he said. Manny plays the role of a hot chef and a single dad Eric Davies, the love interest of Anna (Lindsay) in the sequel. DAY6 surprised fans worldwide on Tuesday, August 5, after announcing their newest world tour called THE DECADE, which is part of their 10th anniversary debut. The band will kick off its tour on August 30 and 31, 2025, at the Goyang Stadium in Goyang, South Korea. They will then visit parts of Asia, including the Philippines, on January 24, 2026, and will perform on the stage of the SM Mall of Asia Arena. Aside from the Philippines, DAY6's The DECADE tour dates and locations are the Impact Arena in Bangkok on September 27, SECC Hall B2 in Ho Chi Minh on October 18, AsiaWorld-Arena in Hong Kong on January 17, and Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur on January 31. According to the announcement, DAY6 will add more dates and locations to their upcoming world tour. Meanwhile, ticketing details for DAY6's The DECADE in Manila are yet to be revealed. DAY6, composed of Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon, debuted on September 7, 2025, under JYP Entertainment. Attention, toy collectors. Funko, the toy company known for making Pop! Vinyl figures is coming to the Philippines! During a media luncheon on Thursday, Funko Vice President for Sales - Asia Pacific Andy Clempson announced that its first flagship store in the South East Asia will be opening on July 12 at the SM Mall of Asia. "Philippines, quite frankly, is the home of Funko. It's our biggest market, it's got the most passion of fans," Clempson said. "This is all about being a destination store for existing fans, but also to attract new fans into our menu, because we want the people happy all the time," he added. Clemspon also expressed his excitement over the launch of Funko in the South East Asian market. "This is a little bit of history, because it is the first ever Funko branding store in Asia. So this is Funko history," he said. The Funko Pop store will showcase a wide selection of limited-edition figures and collectibles inspired by fan-favorite franchises, including "Barbie," "Naruto," "Friends," "Jujutsu Kaisen," "Attack on Titan," "One Piece," Sanrio, and many more. K-pop fans can also look forward to exclusive Funko Pop figures featuring global sensations BTS and NewJeans.
