KSEAB declares SSLC exam-2 results with 27.67% pass rate, down nearly 4% from last year
BENGALURU: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) declared the results of SSLC Exam-2 on Friday, with the overall pass percentage, including repeaters and private candidates, standing at 27.67%. This is a dip of nearly 4% compared to 2024 which recorded a pass percentage of 31%. This year, 87,330 passed out of more than 3.15 lakh candidates who appeared. The SSLC Exam-2 was conducted from May 26 to June 2. The number of students who failed in SSLC Exam-1 increased as the grace marks - which allowed an increase of up to 20% - were not given.

Addressing the media in Shivamogga, the minister expressed satisfaction with the positive response from students applying for Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) SSLC Exam-2. He also stressed the government's efforts, including the provision of free electricity to government schools and the conduct of special and remedial classes to better prepare students for exams. Moreover, examination fees have been completely waived for students who could not pass in the first attempt. However, those appearing for improvement must still pay the fee. Furthermore, the minister mentioned ongoing initiatives such as incorporating Artificial Intelligence, constructing additional toilets and classrooms in government schools, and launching YouTube channels featuring top-performing students and experienced teachers sharing exam tips and strategies.

Over 5.24 lakh students passed in Karnataka SSLC exams
BENGALURU: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) declared the SSLC Exam-1 results on Friday, with the overall pass percentage rising to 62.34%. This marks a 9.34% increase from last year's 53%, School Education and Literacy Minister Madhu Bangarappa said. Out of more than 8.42 lakh students who appeared for the SSLC exams, over 5.24 lakh successfully passed. Notably, 22 students scored a perfect 625 marks, including seven from Bengaluru — a significant increase from last year, when only one student achieved this feat. In the previous year, about 8.9 lakh students registered for the SSLC exams, with an initial pass percentage of 53.40%. However, after granting 20% grace marks, the final pass percentage was adjusted to 73%. The education minister attributed the improvement in results to remedial classes, explaining that the department focused on identifying underperforming students and providing additional support through targeted classes on specific subjects and topics. Dakshina Kannada topped the state with a pass percentage of 91.12%, followed by Udupi at 89.96%.
