Rajinikanth's Lal Salaam Finally Set For OTT Release? Everything We Know

Initially, the film was supposed to start streaming on the OTT platform in March of the same year, but due to unknown reasons, it was not released. But now, after almost a year, the makers have finally announced the official OTT release date of Lal Salaam. The film will be streaming on SUN NXT from June 6, on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha. Their friendship is tested when a politician's son exploits their rivalry during elections to spark a heated cricket match, potentially causing communal tensions in their village. It explores the themes of sports, friendship and social harmony, focusing on the impact of a rivalry between two cricket teams and the relationship between two friends and their communities. Apart from Rajinikanth, the film also featured Vishnu Vishal, Vikranth, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar and Thambi Ramaiah in significant roles. Backed by Lyca Productions, the film was written by Vishnu Rangaswamy with music by AR Rahman. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth has already wrapped up the shooting for his next project, Coolie. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film will be hitting the big screens on August 14 this year.
