460 grievances received in Anantapur
Anantapur: A total of 460 petitions were received during Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS) held on Monday at Anantapur Collectorate. Acting District Collector Shiv Narayan Sharma, along with senior officials, personally heard grievances from petitioners across various mandals and accepted their applications. Assistant Collector Sachin Rahar, District Revenue Officer A. Malola, Special Deputy Collectors Tippa Naik, Ram Mohan, Mallikarjunudu, and Mallikharjun Reddy, as well as Civil Supplies DM Ramesh Reddy, were among those who assisted in receiving petitions. Addressing the gathering, Sharma instructed officials to prioritize and resolve grievances submitted through the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, MPs, MLCs, MLAs, and directly via PGRS without any delay. He stressed that there should be no negligence in addressing public issues and directed departments to ensure time-bound resolution. He further emphasized that officials must conduct field inspections, verify details, and complete inquiries to ensure that petitioners are fully satisfied with the solutions provided within the stipulated deadline. The petitions covered a variety of public issues from across the district. Officials from multiple departments, including Deputy Collector Anand, CPO Ashok Kumar, DMHO Dr. E.B. Devi, Housing PD Shailaja, PD DRDA Shailaja, DTC Veerraju, DVEO Venkataramana Naik, Mines DD Adinarayana, DWMA PD Saleem Basha, and others, participated in the programme.

Petitioners from various mandals attend PGRS
Anantapur: As part of the Public Grievance Redressal System (PGRS), a special grievance collection programme was held on Monday at the Revenue Building in the Anantapur Collectorate. Petitioners from various mandals across the district submitted their grievances related to different departments. In-charge District Collector Shiv Narayan Sharma personally received petitions from the public, addressing their concerns and assuring appropriate action. Along with the Collector, several officials took part in the petition-receiving process, including Assistant Collector Sachin Rahar, District Revenue Officer A. Malola, Special Deputy Collectors Tippe Nayak and Rammohan, and District Agriculture Officer Umamaheswaramma, among others. The session aimed to ensure timely and transparent redressal of publicissues by involving multiple departmental heads under one platform.

Address public grievances effectively, Collector tells officials
Anantapur: District Collector Dr Vinod Kumar emphasised that Anantapur should emerge as the best district in the State and urged officials to implement government priority programmes with sincerity and accountability at the grassroots level. He directed officials to actively coordinate with field-level staff and ensure impactful implementation of key initiatives. The Collector conducted a review meeting with department officials at the Mini Conference Hall in the Anantapur Collectorate on Friday, focusing on enhancing positive public perception of government programmes. During the meeting, Dr Vinod Kumar stressed the need for timely and effective execution of the State government flagship programmes within the jurisdiction of each department. He mentioned that the Chief Minister was closely monitoring the progress of these priority initiatives and expects serious commitment from all concerned departments. The Collector expressed concern over the declining behavior and performance of some officials, stating that such attitudes were affecting the district's ranking in various State evaluations. He insisted that district officials must change their approach and improve both performance and behaviour. He added that any officials failing to perform or receiving complaints would face action. To build a positive perception of governance, he instructed the Joint Collector, DRO and all district officers to take up special drives and address public grievances effectively. Departments such as Revenue and Survey, which are receiving a high volume of complaints, were specifically directed to intensify their efforts and work closely with grassroots officials. Dr. Vinod Kumar also mentioned that the State government would release a Positive Perception Report next month and directed all departments to strive for favourable outcomes. He instructed constituency-level special officers to monitor public sentiment and conduct field inspections, while also preparing detailed proformas to evaluate implementation. The Collector directed the officers to submit reports after conducting special drives and take appropriate corrective measures based on field realities. Officials present at the meeting included Assistant Collector Sachin Rahar, DRO A Malola, Agriculture Officer Umamaheswaramma, Mines AG Adinarayana, DCHS Paul Ravikumar, GGH Administrator Mallikarjun, District TB Officer Anupama James, Civil Supplies DM Ramesh Reddy, APSRTC RM Sumanth R Adoni, APSPDCL SE Seshadri Shekhar, Survey AD Ruplanayak and several others from various departments.

Collector inspects APPSC Group-I Mains exam centre
Anantapur: District Collector Dr Vinod Kumar V has directed the officials to ensure smooth conduct of APPSC Group-I Mains examinations across the district. On Saturday, he inspected Sri Balaji PG College exam centre on Rudrampeta Sanapa Road in Anantapur. During his visit, the Collector emphasised that all necessary arrangements must be in place so that candidates face no inconvenience during the examination. He stated that exams were being conducted at two centers in the district - PVKK Institute of Technology and Sri Balaji PG College. Out of the 594 registered candidates, 389 attended while 205 were absent. Considering summer conditions, arrangements were made to provide drinking water, ORS packets, and medical kits at the centers. Medical staff were kept on alert to handle any emergencies. The Collector warned that strict action will be taken against anyone, who violates rules in and around the exam centers, particularly against those involved in malpractice or copying. Assistant Collector Sachin Rahar, Special Deputy Collector Thippenaik, and Anantapur Rural Tahsildar Hari Prasad were present during the inspection.
