Police seek public assistance to locate group of men who allegedly sexually assaulted woman in Geraldton
Sex Assault Squad detectives are asking the public for information to help locate a group of men who allegedly assaulted a woman in Geraldton on Sunday evening. WA Police said a woman — aged in her 30s – was in an area of bush along Ainsworth Street when she was sexually assaulted by a group of unknown men. The incident occurred between the hours of 8pm and 10.20pm on Sunday. 'The woman presented herself to Geraldton Hospital for medical treatment, and the incident was reported to police,' Police said in a statement. It is believed the woman was followed while walking along North Coastal Highway by a black sedan – potentially a black Holden Commodore – she turned onto Phelps Street and Ainsworth Street, where the incident occurred. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with any information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online via this link . Dash-cam, CCTV or mobile phone footage of the area between 8pm and 10.20pm can be uploaded directly to investigators here . Police issue urgent appeal over alleged Geraldton sex attack
Detectives from the sexual assault squad have issued an urgent public appeal to help with their investigation into an alleged sexual assault of a woman in Rangeway on Wednesday. Police say in the early hours of Wednesday, April 30, a man unknown to the woman, broke into her home and sexually assaulted her before fleeing the scene. The man is described as being aged between 20 and 30, about 175cm tall, and he may have been wearing a hat. Detectives wish to speak to anyone who may have seen any persons, has CCTV, or dash-cam footage around the vicinity of North West Coastal Highway, Eastwood Road, Rifle Range Road, and Utakarra Road in Rangeway between 5.30am and 6.30am Wednesday morning. Former Riverside Beaver County School District coach arrested for alleged "misconduct" with student-athlete
A former Riverside Beaver County School District coach was arrested for alleged "misconduct" with a student-athlete, school leaders said on Wednesday. In a statement on the district's website, the administration said it learned that a former coach, whose name wasn't released, was arrested Wednesday morning. "It is our understanding that the former employee was allegedly involved in misconduct involving a high school student-athlete," the district said. Citing the fact that it's a police investigation, the district said it couldn't provide any other details. School leaders said that an internal review confirmed that all state and local requirements for background and pre-employment checks were completed for the coach. "The safety and well-being of our students are our top priority, and we remain committed to supporting our Riverside students and families," the district said.
