
Hunt to locate men who allegedly sexually assaulted WA woman
Sex Assault Squad detectives are asking the public for information to help locate a group of men who allegedly assaulted a woman in Geraldton on Sunday evening.
WA Police said a woman — aged in her 30s – was in an area of bush along Ainsworth Street when she was sexually assaulted by a group of unknown men. The incident occurred between the hours of 8pm and 10.20pm on Sunday.
'The woman presented herself to Geraldton Hospital for medical treatment, and the incident was reported to police,' Police said in a statement.
It is believed the woman was followed while walking along North Coastal Highway by a black sedan – potentially a black Holden Commodore – she turned onto Phelps Street and Ainsworth Street, where the incident occurred.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with any information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online via this link.

Three people including two teenagers have been killed in separate crashes in Queensland and Victoria in the early hours of Tuesday morning. A 15-year-old boy and 18-year-old man both died after a crash at Orbost in Victoria's East Gippsland region about 12.20am. Emergency services were called to the scene after reports a car had crashed into a tree near the corner of Murphys Lane and Bonang-Orbost Road.
