Man, 20, stabbed during early morning altercation in Plateau-Mont-Royal

THE CANADIAN PRESS/Christinne Muschi A 20-year-old man was stabbed during an altercation in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough early Saturday morning. Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call around 3:30 am reporting an injured man at the intersection of Saint-Laurent Boulevard and Roy Street. When police arrived on the scene, they found the victim with an upper-body stab wound caused by a sharp object. He was transported to hospital, and authorities do not fear for his life. According to several witnesses, the man had been involved in an altercation with at least one suspect. No arrest has been made. The investigation is ongoing.
