Ungaludan Stalin scheme: ‘over 300 petitions processed on first day in Krishnagiri'
Nine new women's-only 'Vidiyal' bus services on new routes were introduced and flagged off by the Minister for Food and Civil Supplies R. Sakkarapani here on Thursday (July 31, 2025). Flagging off the new buses and routes, Mr. Sakkarapani said, the new bus routes and 'Vidiyal' services were introduced across the State to increase the percentage of women's hassle-free access to the public transport services. Earlier, Mr. Sakkarapani inspected the special camps under the Ungaludan Stalin scheme that was under way at Kattiganapalli panchayat and reviewed the processing of the petitions. Speaking about the camps, Mr. Sakkarapani said, 288 camps are scheduled to be held in Krishnagiri, which includes 55 camps in urban areas and 173 camps in rural areas. Highlighting the time-bound manner of processing applications, Mr. Sakkarapani stated on day one of the camp, a total of 308 petitions were processed . As of date, 42 special camps witnessed a receipt of 32,133 petitions across the district. The received petitions will be processed within a period fo 45 days. Urging those eligible for income assurance under the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme, the Minister said the applications for the same were issued only in these camps and not elsewhere. Earlier, Mr. Sakkarapani also reviewed the arrangements ahead of the scheduled visit of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to Hosur in the third week of August. He reviewed the progress of the projects and schemes sought to be launched by the Chief Minister.

New bus routes, eight buses for women flagged off in Hosur
New bus services for extended routes and eight new 'Vidiyal' buses for women were flagged off by Minister for Food and Civil Supplies R. Sakkarapani from Hosur bus stand in the district on Wednesday (July 30, 2025). The bus service from Hosur to Nandimangalam has been extended up to Mavathur, and the service from Hosur to Denkanikottai has been extended up to Government Arts and Science College. Flagging off the extended service routes, , Minister Sakkarapani said, over 2,426 people and two villages will be benefitted. In addition, eight new women-only 'Vidiyal' buses were also flagged off replacing the old buses. Earlier, Mr. Sakkarapani launched various welfare schemes at a cumulative cost of ₹13.49 crore. This included schemes and development works in Thally, Shoolagiri, and Vepanapalli Unions, respectively. Mr. Sakkarapani also inspected the Andhivadi sports stadium complex, which is scheduled to host Chief Minister M.K. Stalin's visit next month. A review meeting with the line departments was also chaired by the Minister at the Collectorate in the evening.
