Watch Sammy Hagar Concert on Veeps For now, Hagar hasn't added any other additional dates in Sin City, and previously told Rolling Stone that he 'might not like being in the same place every night. I only did it one other time at a much smaller place in Vegas. This is a bigger room with a bigger production, and it might feel strange. It might start fuckin' with me, but we'll see. I love Vegas, man. Vegas is awesome.' Want to attend the show in person? Resale tickets are available on Ticketmaster, StubHub, and Vivid Seats for tonight's show and the last concert on May 17. Sammy Hagar Scores His First Top 10 Hits With A Touching Tribute

"Encore. Thank You. Goodnight.," Sammy Hagar's emotional new single honoring Eddie Van Halen, debuts ... More on three Billboard charts with over 2,000 sales. LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 14: Sammy Hagar performs during a visit to SiriusXM Studios on November 14, 2023 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by) Sammy Hagar has enjoyed several different lifetimes of popularity in the music world. He got his start leading the hard rock group Montrose, and was later known not just as a soloist, but also as the vocalist of Van Halen — during two several eras, no less. These days, Hagar is more commercially successful thanks to his live performances and various businesses, but he does still occasionally release music under his own name. His latest effort, a tribute to a lost friend and former bandmate, reaches the Billboard charts this week and earns the rocker a somewhat unexpected smash. Hagar recently released the single "Encore. Thank You. Goodnight." The tune was inspired by a dream he had about Eddie Van Halen, the musician who lent his last name to the hugely successful rock band. Hagar was, of course, a member of Van Halen for several years, and the two knew one another very well. Van Halen passed away in 2020. According to an interview with Rolling Stone, Hagar said he dreamed about his friend around the time of his passing. He's been thinking about the vision ever since, and he has now turned it into music as a way to say goodbye again. "Encore. Thank You. Goodnight." debuts on a trio of Billboard charts this week. It appears on three rankings dedicated to pure purchases, as Luminate reports that in its first full tracking frame of availability, the Hagar solo cut sold about 2,050 copies in the U.S. A little more than 2,000 pure purchases is enough to help "Encore. Thank You. Goodnight." debut at No. 20 on the Digital Song Sales chart, Billboard's ranking of the bestselling tunes throughout America. The cut performs significantly better on a pair of genre-specific rankings, where it faced much less competition. Hagar launches "Encore. Thank You. Goodnight." in the runner-up rung on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales tally and in third place on the Rock Digital Song Sales roster. In each instance, Hagar collects his first placement on the charts under his own name with this tribute.

Struggling burger chain closing most locations, no bankruptcy

There's a reason that the most successful fast food chain speak to the broadest possible audiences. Chains like Burger King, McDonald's, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut offer very basic food and a ton of people like to eat. Once you narrow down your focus, you limit your audience. Related: Popular Tex-Mex chain unveils menu change customers will love That's why it's very difficult for any fast food chain to offer products that serve people with limited diets. It always seems like a good idea to broaden your customer base by adding gluten-free, vegan, or vegetarian options. In reality, it's very hard to sell enough of these products to justify their place on the menu. That's why a few years ago, when Beyond Meat was all the rage, a number of fast food chains partnered with them. Dunkin' had a very high profile partnership with the plant based meat brand as to a handful of other companies. Most of those products have quietly gone away. We have also seen high profile failures, like McDonald's McPlant. The reality is that while some people have to eat a certain diet many are choosing a certain lifestyle and might deviate from those choices when eating out. If it's hard to successfully, add an alternative diet item to a menu, it's nearly impossible to build your entire menu around that. People say they want healthier fast food. In reality they want the fast food they eat to be healthier. Don't miss the move: Subscribe to TheStreet's free daily newsletter Those are two very different things. If McDonald's could figure out how to make a Big Mac taste exactly like a Big Mac, but plant-based, that would still be a tough sell. Every effort to offer healthier, or alternative diet, standalone fast food offerings has been a difficult path. The audience for these are very limited and the chances for success are very small. Celebrity alcohol brands have generally connected with the public because they are relatable. Ryan Reynolds seems like a good guy and his gin taste like gin. Sammy Hagar may not be quite as relatable or seem like someone you can hang out with, but he does seem like someone who would do a tequila shot with you. These are approachable products that are very similar to other brands and the famous person serves as the differentiator. Using famous people to endorse products that are less mainstream has a more dubious track record. That's at least partially why Neat Burger, a plant-based burger, chain, endorsed, and supported by Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton and actor and playboy Leonardo DiCaprio never seem like that good idea. Plant-based burgers have always been a hard sell with a limited audience, and having famous people who are not particularly approachable endorse them doesn't really help. Bankruptcies: Popular restaurant and bar chain files for Chapter 11 bankruptcyPopular athletic shoe chain files for Chapter 11 bankruptcyAward-winning cosmetics brand files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy That's why the chain, or at least partly why the chain, which spanned three countries has officially closed its locations in the United States and the United Kingdom. Two locations in Milan remain open, at least for now. TheStreet first reported these closings in late April. The chain has now confirmed that all of its locations in the United States and United Kingdon have shut down. And while its website remains up, it's no longer functional. Before its near-demise, Neat Burger had a simple mission (the choice to not capitalize was theirs). it's good mood plant-based better for the our commitment to doing things differently. The chain also embraced the idea that somehow meat eaters would regularly and willingly eat there. Related: Fast-food chicken chain faces Chapter 11 bankruptcy, liquidation "We're feeding a positive change in global eating habits, catering to diverse tastes and preferences with our menu of sustainable, plant-based food," the company shared on its website. "Based on the ethos of simplicity, honesty and transparency, we're cooking from scratch using whole ingredients, made in house or sourced from chefs we know and partners we trust. Neat is place where vegans, veggies and meat-eaters alike can come together to enjoy a meal." It may have been all that, but the audience never fully materialized and now the chain has mostly closed. Food with a mission has generally been a tough sell to Americans and this chain did not buck that trend. The Arena Media Brands, LLC THESTREET is a registered trademark of TheStreet, Inc.

Sammy Hagar's New Song "Encore. Thank You. Goodnight." Was Inspired by a Dream About Eddie Van Halen

Sammy Hagar has been dreaming about his new single. The new song "Encore. Thank You. Goodnight." released on Friday, April 25, was inspired by a dream the legendary rocker had involving his Van Halen bandmate, the late Eddie Van Halen. "I can't wait for the world to hear this very special song Joe and I wrote as a long overdue thank you to Eddie Van Halen for the music, the good times, and the dream that inspired this track, 'Encore, Thank You, Goodnight,' " Hagar, 77, wrote on Instagram on Tuesday, April 22 — just days before the single's debut. 'About two months ago, I had this dream and Eddie came. We were in a room like this, [with] a bunch of people around. It was just like he'd been gone. It was not like he was passed, but he had just been out of my life and we hadn't seen each other for a while," Hagar said at the time. "He's going, 'Man, let's write some music!' I said, 'Yeah, f–-- it, man. Here, let's go!' " he continued. is now available in the Apple App Store! Hagar told the publication that in his dream, Van Halen showed him a guitar "lick" that he had last heard during the 2004 reunion tour. "He did this harmonic thing and he slid it up to a chord, like a slide guitar. We wrote a song with that lick," Hagar recalled. "I remembered it. I got up in the morning and I wrote the song. It's called, 'Thank You.' I used the f-----' lick that he showed me in the song. I told Jason [Bonham], 'I just really don't know what to say lyrically,' " he continued. At the time, Hagar had "goosebumps, head to toe," recalling the dream. "So I wrote it [about that experience], and we'll do that song someday." Fast-forward to 2025, and the song is here. He added, "It's not meant to be anything more than a thank-you — with love, with respect, and with one hell of a guitar solo. Joe brought in that big, emotional, guitar-driven energy that feels like Eddie's spirit but is entirely of Joe's creation." "With Michael Anthony's thundering bass and stellar Van Halen-esque background vocals and Kenny Aronoff's relentlessly powerful driving rhythms, the song really came together on all levels," Hagar continued. The new song, with its accompanying music video dropping on Sunday, April 27, comes days before Hagar kicks off his Best of All Worlds Las Vegas residency on April 30. "Encore. Thank You. Goodnight." is available to stream. Read the original article on People
