Kurukshetra/Ladwa/Pehowa: Haryana chief minister (CM) Nayab Singh Saini asserted on Wednesday that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi , India emerged as a bright spot on the global economic map. He credited the Centre's pro-welfare policies for accelerating national development and ensuring direct benefits to citizens across every section of society. At Shri Sangameshwar Mahadev Temple in Arunai village, CM Saini offered prayers for the well-being and prosperity of Haryana's residents. The CM performed jalabhishek (offered holy water), met with saints, and planted saplings on the temple premises. "This sacred month of Sawan is a time of reflection and renewal. I prayed for the health and growth of our people," he told journalists. Solar Push: Free Electricity for the Poor In his final stop, CM Saini addressed villagers in Gudi, Bakali, Jogi Majra, and Nivarsi, emphasizing green energy. Under the Centre's Free Solar Power Scheme, families earning less than Rs 1.80 lakh annually will receive 2kW solar panels. 'Once installed, their electricity bill will become zero,' he said. So far, 26,000 households have benefited from this scheme, with a target of covering 1 lakh homes this year.
