CM Saini promised a major recruitment drive in the state police department, urging youth to prepare earnestly.
"Gone are the days of jobs in exchange for votes or favouritism," he said, targeting the Congress party's "50 votes for a job" claim.
He highlighted the success of CET Group C exams, where 13.5 lakh applicants took part, with over 90% participation—a record made possible by transparent, merit-based hiring. Saini accused the opposition of stalling employment results before elections but affirmed that his govt delivered on its promise to release pending results.
"In July alone, we declared results for over 7,500 govt jobs. Even children from economically weaker families are becoming ACSs and DSPs now," he added, noting that 58 young Haryanvis are on their way to becoming IAS officers under PM Modi's leadership.
Later in the evening in Ladwa, CM Saini inaugurated the Smart TV Education Project under the Sampark Foundation initiative. Five govt schools received smart TVs during the event, and a state-wide rollout was announced.

Archdiocese community vigil meet in Thrissur on Sept. 21

The coordination committee of various organisations under the Thrissur Archdiocese of the Syro-Malabar Church has alleged that both the Centre and the State government are pursuing a negative approach towards long-standing concerns of the Catholic Church and its community. A coordination committee meeting was inaugurated by Archbishop Andrews Thazhath. It announced that a 'community vigil meet' will be held in Thrissur on September 21 to raise awareness among the faithful and draw public attention to key issues. The committee highlighted multiple areas of concern, including threats to religious freedom in the country, the government's ambiguous stance on the J.B. Koshy Commission recommendations, challenges faced by the hill, coastal, and small-scale trade communities, and efforts to encroach on Church properties. Representatives from every parish within the archdiocese will participate in the vigil meet, which will also be attended by bishops and community leaders. As part of the lead-up to the main event, awareness sessions are being held in all 240 parishes under the archdiocese. The archdiocese-level campaign was formally inaugurated on June 29 at St. Joseph's Church, Chuvannamannu, by Auxiliary Bishop Mar Tony Neelankavil. A circular from Archbishop Andrews Thazhath, urging the faithful to support and ensure the success of these efforts was read out in parishes on June 14.

Will present our case before SC in solution-oriented manner: Saini

The Haryana government has decided to put forth its stance in front of the Supreme Court on August 13 on the contentious SYL standoff with Punjab. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said this after coming out of a meeting on the SYL issue with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. Union Jal Shakti Minister C R Patil chaired the meeting. Later speaking to media persons in New Delhi, Saini said that 'a significant step forward was taken during the meeting on the ongoing dialogue over water sharing between Haryana and Punjab. The talks were held in a cordial and cooperative atmosphere'. 'The issue has been under discussion for a long time, and earlier deliberations held on July 9 had already indicated a positive shift. This time, we have moved a step further. The discussions were held in an even more constructive environment. Haryana will present its case in a positive and solution-oriented manner before the Supreme Court on August 13. We are confident that a fair and favourable resolution will be achieved,' Saini added. In response to a question, the CM said that the Indus Waters Treaty is a separate subject, and in that context, Rajasthan will also be entitled to its share of water. From Haryana's side, Rajesh Khullar (Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister), Anurag Rastogi (Additional Chief Secretary, Irrigation and Water Resources Department), and other senior officers accompanied Saini to the meeting.
