Kim Ji Soo on his role in 'Sanggang-Dikit FR': 'He's totally a bad guy'
Kim Ji Soo has returned to Philippine primetime with his appearance in "Sanggang-Dikit FR." According to Athena Imperial's report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, the South Korean actor portrays an assassin in the action series starring Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado. Kim Ji Soo previously did action in "Black Rider," but this time, his character has a different motivation. "In the 'Black Rider, it was kinda good way, the character. He's like, protects someone. But here, he's opposite to justice. He killed people for money. He's totally a bad guy," he said. Despite his role as a villain in "Sanggang-Dikit FR," he enjoys working with Dennis, the Kapuso Drama King and avid TikTokerist. "He is really professional and very sweet. And some way he's kind of funny. He's a good actor," he said. Dennis, meanwhile, said he first got intimated by the Korean star. "Nung nakagawa na kami ng mga eksena, ang kulit din pala niya. Naka-adapt siya dito sa sistema ng mga Pilipino kung papaano paggawa ng mga teleserye," he said. They are now planning to do TikTok videos together. Ryza Cenon in talks for 'Sanggang-Dikit FR' guesting
Are we going to see Ryza Cenon on GMA Network soon? On Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the actress shared that she is currently in talks for a guest appearance in the Kapuso action-drama "Sanggang-Dikit FR" starring by Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo. Ryza also mentioned that she and Jennylyn are on good terms now, having moved past the rift they had early in their careers. "Wala na po 'yun. Tapos na po 'yun. May pamilya na po kami. May mga anak na po kami. Tinatawanan na lang namin 'yon," she said. Ryza left GMA Network in 2018 after playing the iconic role of Georgia in the hit Kapuso series "Ika-anim na Utos" for two years. When asked if there is still a chance for her to return to the Kapuso network, Ryza answered: "Of course. Oo naman." Meanwhile, "Sanggang-Dikit FR" airs from Monday to Friday, 8:50 p.m. on GMA Prime. Elle Villanueva is the newest host-mate in "Unang Hirit!" On Monday's episode of the Kapuso morning show, Elle said that she expects to learn something new each day through her new role. The 'Sanggang Dikit FR' cast and crew had a very special visitor on set—Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo's daughter, Dylan. Jennylyn shared a TikTok video of Dylan playing with crew members and jumping on the tiles. 'Ang laki ng takbuhan niya eh,' the Ultimate Star said. 'My happy little visitor,' she added in her caption. 'Jump jump muna sa set ng #SanggangDikitFR.' Jennylyn and Dennis tied the knot in November 2021 and welcomed Dylan in April 2022. In 'Sanggang-Dikit FR,' Jennylyn stars as Roberta "Bobby" Enriquez, a bubbly yet highly competitive police woman. Dennis plays Antonio "Tonyo" Guerrero, a skilled policeman who loves to improvise when solving crimes. Both burdened by personal losses, Bobby and Tony are brought together when a high-profile murder happens involving people who are very close to them. When Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo were announced to topbill action series, 'Sanggang Dikit FR,' audiences were pleasantly surprised. It was a step away from their usual dramas and romance projects, and comedic TikTok videos, after all. At the media conference for the upcoming series, director LA Madridejos said that the married Kapuso couple fit for the project because, 'DenJen na 'yan eh. Kahit anong genre malagay, mag-fa-fly 'yan.' Direk LA added, 'Pero ang lamang kasi nila is hindi sila natatakot mag-experiment dun sa iba't ibang genre.' Apart from being able to make people happy with whatever they present, Direk LA, said DenJen also has the ability to make scenes light, which is needed for the series. 'Magkasama na sila sa bahay and yet, hindi nila nakakalimutan pagusapan 'yung mga eksena kung pano nila gagawin. Ganun ka-professional 'tong mga 'to.' Jennylyn and Dennis also opted to do their own stunts, Direk LA said. 'Nire-require lang namin lagi may double. Pero kung pwedeng sila 'yung gumawa, hindi nila [hahayaan].
