Scheana Shay considered warning Jesse Metcalfe about her memoir

Scheana Shay considered warning Jesse Metcalfe about his appearance in her new memoir - but she decided against it. The 40-year-old reality star has discussed her romance with Jesse in My Good Side, her new memoir, but she didn't feel the need to give him any kind of warning. Scheana - who is now married to Brock Davies - told E! News: "I don't say anything bad about any of these guys that I felt like I needed to give them a heads up on. "The only person I had to sit down with was [ex-husband Mike] Shay. I wanted to tell him about it in person. That was the only person I really felt I owed a conversation to." Scheana actually had the opportunity to discuss her memoir with Jesse prior to its release. However, she ultimately decided against it. She said: "I've ran into Jesse Metcalfe a few times recently at events and I've said 'hi'. "I met his girlfriend. The last time I ran into him, it was the night before we were announcing the book and I made a joke to Brock—they've played poker together before too. I was like, 'Do I tell Jesse he's in the book?' And he's like, 'You're joking, right?' "I'm not gonna go and be like, 'By the way, nice to meet your girlfriend, you're in my book.'" Scheana has previously dated the likes of John Mayer, Shemar Moore, Shane West, Jesse McCartney, and Adrian Grenier. And Scheana insists she doesn't regret discussing her love life in the memoir. The TV star joked: "Those were some fun times. And even though I am a married mother writing this book, it wouldn't be a complete memoir if I didn't touch on my Hollywood hoe days, because it was like six years of those." Meanwhile, Jesse recently revealed that he regrets being mentioned in Scheana's memoir. The 46-year-old actor - who dated the reality TV star back in 2007 - told E! News: "I run into Scheana from time to time at events and stuff like that. She's a super sweet girl and I'm happy for her success. I guess it's a story worthy of print, but it's not a story for me."

Jesse Metcalfe praises 'super sweet' Scheana Shay

Jesse Metcalfe thinks Scheana Shay is a "super sweet girl". The 46-year-old actor dated the reality TV star back in 2007, and they've remained on good terms with each other - but Jesse still regrets being featured in her new memoir. He told E! News: "I run into Scheana from time to time at events and stuff like that. She's a super sweet girl and I'm happy for her success. I guess it's a story worthy of print, but it's not a story for me." Jesse - who has been dating Helene Immel since 2023 - was surprised that Scheana even mentioned their romance in the book. He said: "I was like, 'This again?' It was a really, really long time ago." In the memoir, Scheana claimed that Jesse once took her shopping for "whatever [she] wanted" at a department store. But the actor insists he doesn't remember that incident. He quipped: "I don't remember. I don't remember what I did yesterday." Scheana even described their romance as a "real-life fantasy". The reality star shared: "We would order in dinner with his parents at his house, and - when we were alone - he would play the guitar and serenade me with songs like 'Hey There Delilah'. It felt like I was living a real-life fantasy with this guy I'd watched on TV and in movies for years." Meanwhile, Scheana recently opened up about her husband's infidelity, admitting that she didn't know if she was "strong enough" to overcome the issue. Brock Davies cheated on Scheana while she was pregnant with their now four-year-old daughter, Summer Moon - but the TV star recently explained why she chose to remain tight-lipped about his infidelity. She said on the Scheananigans podcast: "I don't know that our marriage would have survived if we did talk about it that season. I felt like we were still very much in the middle of processing it privately." Scheana wanted to process the situation before she spoke about it publicly. She explained: "I wasn't about to start unravelling all of this on camera before I had even processed what it meant for our marriage, for our daughter, for our entire life."

Scheana Shay 'wasn't ready to talk about Brock Davies' infidelity'

Scheana Shay didn't know if she was "strong enough" to overcome her husband's infidelity. The 40-year-old reality star recently revealed that Brock Davies cheated on her while she was pregnant with their now four-year-old daughter, Summer Moon - but Scheana has explained why she chose to remain tight-lipped about his infidelity. She said on the Scheananigans podcast: "At that time, I wasn't ready to talk about this. I certainly don't think you were ready to talk about this. I don't know that our marriage would have survived if we did talk about it that season. I felt like we were still very much in the middle of processing it privately." Scheana wanted to process the situation before she spoke about it publicly. She explained: "I wasn't about to start unraveling all of this on camera before I had even processed what it meant for our marriage, for our daughter, for our entire life." Scheana and Brock ultimately managed to overcome his infidelity, and she now has no regrets about keeping the situation to herself. She said: "I didn't know if I was going to be strong enough to stay. "It can be easier to just walk away after a betrayal, and hands are clean and be done. So sure, I could have disclosed it then, but I would have been speaking from a place of extreme confusion, pain, fear, [and] not clarity of any sort. "I just wasn't ready. And I think I've learned the hard way, once you say something on camera, it's out there forever." Scheana actually opened up about her husband's cheating in her new memoir. The reality star recalled being in a "state of paralysed shock" as Brock confessed to cheating. She wrote: "I remained in a state of paralysed shock as he confessed that he'd cheated on me two years prior, when we were living in San Diego during the pandemic, while I was pregnant with Summer. "I had spent so much time fighting off my anxiety and convincing myself that just because Tom [Sandoval] cheated on Ariana [Madix] didn't mean Brock would ever cheat on me. Now, I was finding out just how wrong I was."

How Brock Davies Reacted to Scheana Shay's Memoir

What's a guy to do when his reality TV star wife writes a memoir detailing how he cheated on her when she was carrying their child? Go on her podcast and tell his side of the story, obviously. During a July 25 appearance on the Scheananigans podcast, Brock Davies opened up about cheating on Scheana Shay, and revealed how he reacted to Scheana exposing his affair in her memoir, My Good Side. Earlier this month, Scheana shocked fans with an excerpt from her new book, revealing that Brock had cheated on her in 2020 when she was pregnant with their daughter, Summer Moon. Per the excerpt, she didn't find out until he came clean in 2023, in the wake of Scandoval, and fans were able to deduce that the two had been able to patch things up, but no further details were released at the time. Now that the book has finally hit the shelves, it's Brock's turn to tell his side of the story. 'It was a sexual affair. There was no dating. There was no courting. It was just purely that: Meet up and then we had sex,' he said on Scheananigans. According to the former Vanderpump Rules star, he carried on this affair for three-weeks before breaking things off. 'I felt horrible about it,' he recounted, but, he said, he compartmentalized and once he decided to end the affair, he moved on. 'I believed I was never going to do it again and we could just move past this,' he said. Now that he's had five years to process, Brock says that at the time he was 'scared of being a parent again'—he is also dad to two children, Eli and Winter, and at the time of Scheana's pregnancy, there were many reports on their strained relationship. 'I believed what I read. I believed I was a bad dad,' he continued, saying that he now believes he was using fear as a way to justify his actions and take 'an easy way out.' As for why he kept it a secret for so long, Brock said he had no excuse. 'I was an absolute coward. That man was a coward,' he said. 'He wasn't thinking about protecting you, he was just thinking about protecting himself, saving face.' So, when Scheana told Brock she wanted to write about the affair in her memoir, he supported her. 'When you came to me about the book and we had a conversation about it, at the end of the day, this was your story to tell,' he said. 'When you told me about it, I said, 'I support you, and then I will read it once you have written your book, because I don't want to have any influence on it.' You know what that is? Growth.

Jesse Metcalfe Reacts to Scheana Shay's Memoir, ‘My Good Side'

Another day means there's another revelation from Scheana Shay's new memoir, My Good Side, that's due for a debrief. The Vanderpump Rules alum got candid about her string of famous exes in the book, from John Mayer and Adrian Grenier to Jesse McCartney and Jesse Metcalfe—and the John Tucker Must Die actor has caught wind of her retelling of their romance. During an appearance on Tori Spelling's podcast, misSPELLING, Jesse reacted to Scheana's revelation in real time. 'I know. She spoke highly of me, which was nice,' he said during the July 16 episode. He admitted that he 'tried to keep' his past with Scheana from his current girlfriend, Helene Immel, who was listening in on the conversation. Though Jesse clarified he dated Scheana 'a long time ago, 20 years ago,' he confirmed that her recollection was true. 'We were dating. I mean, overall, it was pretty brief, but we were seeing each other on a regular basis,' he shared, revealing they had 'met through a mutual friend who happened to be her boss.' 'So her boss and I went to the same gym. And he had mentioned that she thought I was handsome, and we ended up going out, and the rest is history,' Jesse confirmed. On July 23, Jesse sat down for another interview with Page Six Radio, the day after Scheana had visited the outlet to promote her memoir. When the hosts told him she talked about the 'Hollywood hunks' she explored romantic connections with, Jesse cheekily replied, 'She did alright, didn't she?' 'I mean, this was almost 15 years ago, maybe even close to 20 years ago. So, hopefully, that's not the most relevant thing about me, that I dated Scheana Shay 20 years ago,' he added in response to the 'nicest things' she said about their fling. 'But I have fond memories of that time. She's a great girl, I'm really proud of her and happy for her success.' In My Good Side, Scheana revealed that she and Jesse—who she described as 'the sexy gardener from Desperate Housewives'—dated after he got out of rehab for 'alcohol issues' in March 2007. 'I recall thinking what a dream it would be to date him — which I did, beginning in early 2007. Jesse was an awesome guy,' she wrote. The 'Good as Gold' singer also detailed their first outing after his rehabilitation, where she refrained from drinking alcohol around him in solidarity with his newfound sobriety. 'The first date he took me on post-rehab was the Cloverfield red carpet movie premiere. I then spent my twenty-second birthday at dinner with him, and I vividly remember sticking to water and Red Bull all night as a way of supporting his sobriety,' she shared. 'We would order in dinner with his parents at his house, and — when we were alone — he would play the guitar and serenade me with songs like 'Hey There Delilah,'' Scheana dished. 'It felt like I was living a real-life fantasy with this guy I'd watched on TV and in movies for years.' All in all, she said that they 'had a great time together' thanks to his romantic gestures.
