Science City launches space education drive in govt schools
Vijayawada: The first-ever "One Day Space Education Camp" in Andhra Pradesh was held in Banaganapalle on Friday. AP Science City CEO Kesineni Venkateshwarlu inaugurated the camp at Banaganapalle Girls' School. Addressing the students, Kesineni Venkateswarlu said that Science City of AP has decided to organise space education camps in the schools to realise the vision of chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. He said that the programme was designed to provide comprehensive awareness about space science to students in rural govt schools. As part of the camp, students were shown space rocket-related equipment and given hands-on demonstrations of assembling and disassembling space-related devices. Additionally, in light of the widespread use of drones in today's world, students were educated about their applications, particularly in national defence, through practical demonstrations, said Kesineni Venkat. "A model rover, similar to those used in missions like Chandrayaan, was provided to students to analyse its functionality. He said that the programme will be conducted in 10 selected districts across the state until August 6 in the first phase and will cover other districts in the second phase. Local students, youth, and teachers expressed their gratitude to local legislator and Minister BC Janardhan Reddy for encouraging the organisation of the space education camp in Banaganapalle.

Andhra Pradesh government to launch science parks in urban areas
Vijayawada: Making a strong pitch for the proposed prestigious Quantum Valley and AI projects, the state govt has decided to build the 'science momentum' by launching an innovative project- science parks in urban areas. The govt is determined to create a positive environment for the Quantum valley with a series of activities. The science park project, which is being seen as a transformational educational infrastructure initiative will be taken up in PPP model. The Science City of Andhra Pradesh, the nodal agency to implement the science parks project, has designed the project with an aim to promote hands-on, inquiry-driven learning for school students, science enthusiasts, and general public. "Igniting scientific curiosity is the main objective of the science parks concept. It will help establish interactive environments where students and public can explore and experience science in a physical and engaging way. It will also provide opportunities for first-principles thinking by enabling real-time visualization of complex scientific concepts," chief executive officer (CEO) of Science City of AP, Kesineni Venkateswarlu told TOI. He explained that it will foster an early culture of deep-tech thinking and innovation-oriented education across the state. He said that they wanted to allow both general public and students of all schools in the vicinity to access a common science learning hub, thereby optimizing resources and impact. The state govt wanted to utilise CSR or district mineral fund for sustainable education infrastructure. "This initiative promises to bring science to life for thousands of students and help build a generation of thinkers, innovators, and problem-solvers," said Kesineni Venkateswarlu. He urged NRIs from AP, particularly those who carved out their niche in sciences across the globe, to contribute their might to build science parks by joining hands through CSR.

VIJAYAWADA: Stating that chief minister Chandrababu Naidu's ambitious Quantum Valley project is going to transform Andhra Pradesh 's global image, emerging technologies policy practitioner Venkat Tadikonda said that AP is going to host India's first big ticket project on quantum computing. Addressing an awareness programme on quantum computing jointly organized by Science City of Andhra Pradesh and Sri Durga Malleswara Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala, Vijayawada here on Monday, Venkat quantum computing and algorithms, fundamentals of quantum computing. 'Applications of quantum computing in different industries are going to change the land scape of technological transformation in the state. Quantum sensors and their applications in high-precision measurements would help Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and advancements in secure communication systems,' said Venkat. He said that quantum physics has brought revolutionary findings which even Einstein could not predict. He said that development of quantum computing would surely place India among the top of the world. Science City of AP CEO Venkateswarlu Kesineni has said that chief minister Chandrababu Naidu is committed to develop a science city in Amaravati and science parks across the state. He said that science parks would ignite young brains and make them think beyond the box. He said that the chief minister's dream project-Quantum valley is going to bring huge investments to the state in the IT sector. He said that it would also help generate huge employment. Subsequently, Venkat Tadikonda engaged with students during the interactive session and addressed their queries on Quantum computing. Dr. V. V. S.
