21 Apr 2025 23:25 ABU DHABI (WAM)The UAE Ministry of Defence today inaugurated the Scientific Conference on Physical Readiness of Land Forces in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, at Erth Hotel in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of senior military officials, experts and specialists from across the region. The opening ceremony was attended by Brigadier General Staff Mohammed Khamis Al Hassani, Deputy Commander of the UAE Land Forces, alongside a number of senior officers and officials, underscoring the importance of strengthening GCC integration in military fitness and combat readiness. The conference sessions will address several key themes, including environmental challenges in military training, mental health, injury prevention, and the use of advanced technologies and artificial intelligence in physical rehabilitation programmes. It will also showcase successful case studies and practical experiences. The agenda features specialised workshops and lectures focused on improving physical assessment efficiency and fostering cooperation among GCC member states to support the strategic objectives of regional land forces. The conference runs until 25th April 2025, with the goal of producing unified developmental frameworks for combat and fitness readiness, and advancing defence integration across the GCC.
