Scottie Scheffler gets 'Scottie Style' burger at Hilton Head Island restaurant as RBC champ
Scottie Scheffler gets 'Scottie Style' burger at Hilton Head Island restaurant as RBC champ HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Another week, another burger for Scottie Scheffler. A week ago, at the 89th Masters, Scheffler served sliders 'Scottie Style' as one of his starters at the Champions Dinner. As the defending champion of this week's RBC Heritage, Scheffler has designed a hamburger of his choosing that is being added to the menu of Fraser's Tavern at Sea Pines Resort. It's a new tradition, in only its second year, following after the custom-design burger crafted by 2023 RBC Heritage champ Matt Fitzpatrick. 'We thought it would be a fun way to connect each year's defending champion with our dining guests at Fraser's Tavern,' said Ben Harris, resort executive chef at the Sea Pines Resort. 'The Heritage Classic Foundation was excited about the concept and is very much behind it.' According to a release from the resort, more than 4,400 'defending champion burgers' have been served as Fraser's Tavern since being added to the menu and the burger, which costs $19.95, includes a dollar donation to the tournament charity. Scheffler went with the same blend of rib, brisket and chuck for the patty, a hearth-based sesame bun and crispy bacon 'but in a nod to his tangy Texas taste buds,' the release said, this version of 'Scottie Style' featured pepper jack cheese, fried jalapenos and onion straws, topped off with Old Bay aioli. Scheffler was presented with his burger at the end of his pre-tournament press conference on Tuesday after he hit the 'Cannon Shot' drive as part of the tournament's opening ceremony. Scheffler took one look at his burger and said, 'I'm hungry.' He took a big bite and proceeded to gobble much of it up after finding it to his liking.

Scottie Scheffler explains his Masters Champions Dinner menu: 'It's my favorite foods'
Scottie Scheffler explains his Masters Champions Dinner menu: 'It's my favorite foods' Scottie Scheffler released his menu on Wednesday for the Champions Dinner, held on the Tuesday evening of Masters week, and it looks a lot like the one he served two years ago. During his official champion's press conference with members of the media leading up to the 2025 Masters, Scheffler explained how he put it together. 'It's my favorite foods, haven't quite changed too much but there's a little bit, I would say, more kind of nostalgic stuff,' he said. 'My dad's meatballs made the menu. I think there's a meatball and ravioli type of dish that was always my favorite thing growing up. My dad, his best meal was always meatballs. So I think that's going to be one of the appetizers. 'Then the soup, my coach (Randy Smith) makes the best chili, Randy does. So I think they are trying to use his recipe for the chili inspiration. 'So that's really fun, those two things, and then I think we're doing ribeye again, and some red fish and tequila and bourbon this time. It should be a fun night, fun meal, and very excited about being able to host a Champion's Dinner again and very excited to see how it's prepared and what the chefs at Augusta pull off this year. I'm really looking forward to it.' Scheffler previously won the Masters in 2022, and for a second straight time he is serving cheeseburger sliders, noting a cheeseburger is his favorite food but he doesn't eat them as frequently as he did when he was younger. 'I've got to watch a little bit more what I eat now,' he explained. Those burgers will be served 'Scottie Style.' What is 'Scottie style, you ask? 'I always put the fries on my burger, and that's what 'Scottie style' is. It's fries on the patty. It's usually thin patties. So my favorite burger place here in town (Burger House in Dallas), it's thin patties with cheese in between each patty. And I'll find some of the melted cheese, throw the fries in there, ketchup. It's pretty great.' He also clarified that the Papa Schef is his father, Scott's nickname, for grandkids and his mom goes by Lollie. 'His meatballs were the best growing up,' Scheffler said. 'Any time he made them, we were all jacked up about it. Thought it would be fun to put them on the menu this year, and the raviolis were a nice touch as well.' Let's hope he allows the club's staff to prepare the raviolis after his Christmas Day gaffe, which sidelined him for a stretch of the early season.
