Gasoline, diesel, kerosene pump prices up by over P1/liter Tuesday, June 17, 2025

Motorists will have to pay more for petroleum products this week, as retailers on Monday announced major upward adjustments to mark the fifth straight week of increases for gasoline, third for diesel, and second for kerosene. In separate advisories, Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will increase prices per liter of gasoline and diesel by P1.80 each, and kerosene by P1.50. Cleanfuel will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which it does not carry. The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will hike prices at 4:01 p.m. the same day. Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) earlier projected pump price hikes this week, citing gains on positive US-China trade signals, the stall in nuclear negotiations between US and Iran, and the expected oil demand growth in the next two and a half decades. Firms last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline by P0.60, diesel by P0.95, and kerosene by P0.30. —AOL, GMA Integrated News

Gasoline pump prices up, diesel and kerosene down Tuesday, May 27, 2025

Pump prices of gasoline will be hiked for the second straight week on Tuesday, while those of diesel and kerosene will be rolled back. In separate advisories, Seaoil Philippines Corp. and Shell Pilipinas Corp. said they will hike prices per liter of gasoline by P0.10, while rolling back those of diesel by P0.20, and kerosene by P0.40. Cleanfuel and Petro Gazz will implement the same changes, excluding kerosene which they do not carry. The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27, for all the firms except for Cleanfuel which will implement the changes at 8:01 a.m. the same day. Other firms have yet to make similar announcements for the week. The Department of Energy-Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) earlier projected mixed movements this week, citing reports of progress toward a US-Iran nuclear deal, cooling trade tensions between the US and China, the additional crude oil storage capacity in Iran's Export Terminal, and optimism on global oil demand. Fuel retailers last week hiked prices per liter of gasoline and kerosene by P1.20 each, and diesel by P1.70. — RSJ, GMA Intgerated News
