Tickets from 2 Miami-Dade Publix stores and a Sedano's shared a lottery jackpot

On a day of Mega Millions, Cash4Life, Jackpot Triple Play and Fantasy 5 drawings, all the South Florida luck was packed into one drawing and into Miami-Dade supermarkets. That drawing wasn't the Mega Millions, which will have a $198 million jackpot for Friday's drawing. Monday's first drawing, the Fantasy 5 midday draw, came up 2, 3, 18, 21 and 33. That matched a Quick Pick ticket bought at a West Miami-Dade Sedano's, 12175 SW 26th St., and tickets bought at Publix stores on Southwest 152nd Street — Country Walk at 13735 SW 152nd St., and Corsica Square, 15771 SW 152nd St. The three-way split made each ticket worth $17,141. These tickets have to be cashed at a Florida Lottery main office or a district office, which are open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Miami district office is at 14621 Oak Ln. in Miami Lakes and can be reached at MIARC@ or 305-364-3080. Appointments can be made, but aren't necessary.

Disturbance suspect slashes officer with piece of glass: Oxnard PD

An Oxnard police officer responding to a family dispute was hospitalized after being cut in the face by the suspect Monday afternoon, police said. Officers responded to the disturbance call around 2:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Astoria Place, the Oxnard Police Department stated in its post on Facebook. 'Upon arrival, officers learned that the suspect, Lucio Sedeno, had battered a family member and was out of 290 PC compliance,' police said in the post. Penal code 290 refers to the Sex Offender Registration Act, on the California Legislative Information website. At some point during the call, Sedano tried to run from the officers who gave chase. 'During the foot pursuit, Sedeno obtained a piece of glass and slashed at officers, which caused a one-inch laceration to an officer's jaw,' police said. The unidentified officer was taken to a local hospital to be treated and is expected to make a full recovery. Sedano was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of several crimes, including assault with a deadly weapon, police said. Anyone with further information was asked to call the Oxnard Police Department at 805-385-7600 or online via the Department's website and clicking on Report Suspicious Activity under the Contact Tab.
