Tickets from 2 Miami-Dade Publix stores and a Sedano's shared a lottery jackpot
That drawing wasn't the Mega Millions, which will have a $198 million jackpot for Friday's drawing.
Monday's first drawing, the Fantasy 5 midday draw, came up 2, 3, 18, 21 and 33. That matched a Quick Pick ticket bought at a West Miami-Dade Sedano's, 12175 SW 26th St., and tickets bought at Publix stores on Southwest 152nd Street — Country Walk at 13735 SW 152nd St., and Corsica Square, 15771 SW 152nd St. The three-way split made each ticket worth $17,141.
These tickets have to be cashed at a Florida Lottery main office or a district office, which are open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Miami district office is at 14621 Oak Ln. in Miami Lakes and can be reached at MIARC@flalottery.com or 305-364-3080. Appointments can be made, but aren't necessary.

$348M Mega Millions jackpot from ticket sold in Burgess, Virginia, in June is claimed
The largest jackpot ever won in Virginia has been claimed by an anonymous winner, according to a press release from the Virginia Lottery. And just what does that person plan to do with their winnings? They told Virginia Lottery officials they plan to buy a zero-radius riding lawnmower. The $348 million jackpot in the June 27 Mega Millions drawing was won by a single ticket, which was bought at E & C Mid Atlantic, located at 14878 Northumberland Highway in Burgess. That ticket matched all six winning numbers: 18-21-29-42-50 and the Mega Ball number 2. About four weeks after the drawing, the winner walked into Virginia Lottery headquarters in Richmond and presented lottery officials with the ticket. Virginia law permits any winner of a prize worth $1 million and greater to claim the prize anonymously, in which case the lottery does not publicly disclose the winner's identity. The winner had the choice of taking the $348 million jackpot in annual payments over 30 years or a one-time cash option of $155.6 million before taxes. They chose the cash option. On July 22, Virginia Lottery Executive Director Khalid R. Jones was at the store to present E & C Mid-Atlantic Vice President of Operations Juan Torres with a check for the $50,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
