Nadeera is not the singer arrested for suspicion of immoral activity
13 Feb - The Selangor Islamic Department (JAIS) has denied rumours about Nadeera Zaini being the celebrity that was recently arrested for suspicion of engaging in immoral activities with a member of the opposite sex.
In a statement to the media, a JAIS rep confirmed the arrest that was reported earlier, but said that the person in question was not the "Bukan Lagi Kita" singer.
The rep, however, declined to share any more details about the arrest.
It was on 12 February that it was revealed that a singer and former reality show contestant had been arrested alongside her boyfriend who is revealed to be a married man.
Nadeera's manager Acap had since dismissed the rumour, saying that the singer had been busy rehearsing for the upcoming "Anugerah Juara Lagu", which will be held on 16 February.
"The news has disrupted Nadeera's focus because people kept calling her just to make sure," he said.
