Police: Two Singaporeans found dead in KL homestay are married couple
KUALA LUMPUR: Two Singaporean nationals found dead in a guesthouse in Cheras here are husband and wife, said city police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa. He said police believe the couple took their own lives. "They used a grill, sealed the room and were later found dead inside. The family has been informed," he said after the Safe City programme at the Seri Desa Rejang People's Housing Project today. On May 16, police said a guesthouse employee found the bodies of a 43-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman after making a check when the two could not be contacted. They were found in a room where all ventilation openings on the doors and windows were sealed with tape and garbage bags. Police said preliminary investigations found no external injuries on the bodies and no signs of foul play.

Facebook user to be charged over threat against DBKL officer
KUALA LUMPUR: A Facebook user will be charged in court here tomorrow for threatening a City Hall enforcement officer on the social media platform. City police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said the charge would be framed under Section 506 and Section 505(b) of the Penal Code. "The case involves a threat made by a Facebook account holder against an enforcement officer. One individual will be brought to court tomorrow," he said after the Safe City programme at the Seri Desa Rejang People's Housing Project today. The case is linked to a viral incident involving a balloon trader who claimed he was manhandled by City Hall enforcement officers during an operation in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman earlier this year.
