Russia attacks Ukraine with 2 Iskander missiles and 90 drones, hits recorded in 12 locations
The Russians have attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 90 Shahed UAVs and decoy drones of various types since the evening of 29 May. Ukrainian air defence has managed to down 56 drones, although hits have been recorded in 12 locations. Source: Ukraine's Air Force Quote: "As of 08:00, air defence downed 56 Shahed attack UAVs (and other types of drones) in the country's south and north. Twenty-six were downed using firepower and 30 disappeared from radar or were suppressed by electronic warfare. Strikes were recorded in 12 locations." Details: The Russians launched drones from the Russian cities of Millerovo, Oryol, Shatalovo, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk and the missiles were launched from Russia's Voronezh Oblast. Kharkiv, Odesa and Donetsk oblasts came under attack. "Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces were involved in repelling the attack," the Air Force summarised. Russians launch 60 UAVs overnight: 43 fail to reach target but 9 hit
Russian forces have been attacking Ukraine with 60 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of decoy drones since 23:50 on 26 May. Ukrainian air defence has downed 43 drones, but there were also some strikes. Thirty-five were shot down by air defences, and eight disappeared from radar or were suppressed by electronic warfare." Details: Nine drone strikes were recorded, and debris from the downed drones fell in three locations. The Russians launched drones from the Russian cities of Millerovo, Oryol, Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as from Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea. "The air attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and unmanned systems, as well as mobile fire groups from the Ukrainian defence forces," the Air Force concluded. Ukrainian defence destroys 35 out of 108 Russian drones, 58 go off radar
The Russians attacked Ukraine with 108 Shahed UAVs and decoy drones of various types on the night of 19-20 May. Source: Ukraine's Air Force Details: As of 09:00, 93 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones had been confirmed downed in the country's east, north and centre. A total of 35 UAVs were downed by air defence and another 58 disappeared from radar (without causing adverse effects). Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy and Zhytomyr oblasts came under attack. Businessman killed while picking up Easter cakes as Russians strike confectionery workshop in Sumy
A Russian Shahed drone has struck a workshop belonging to a confectionery business in the city of Sumy, damaging the production of Easter cakes. A businessman who arrived to collect festive products has been killed in the strike. Zelenskyy on Russians attacking Mykolaiv: Those who genuinely seek peace do not act this way
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the attack by the Russian Shahed UAV on the thermal power plant in Mykolaiv, which left more than 100,000 people without heating, demonstrates the unwillingness of Russians to restore peace.
