And now, an investigation by the Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) has found that 51 medicines and injections supplied to state-run hospitals over the past year failed quality June, the FSDA wrote to the principal secretary of the health department, directing action against the drug manufacturers. The issue has raised concerns over the efficacy of drugs being provided free of cost to poor and middle-class patients at pharmacies of government-run hospitals. HOW MEDICINES FAIL QUALITY TESTSTo understand how the medicines failed quality tests, India Today visited the lab where the samples were tested by the the process, professor Pushpendra Kumar Tripathi, director of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Lucknow University, said a standard tablet should break down within 15 minutes inside the 12 tablets from the same batch fail this test, the drug is declared substandard. Moreover, drugs like ciprofloxacin failed the dissolution test, meaning they did not dissolve in the stomach within the required 30 some cases, the actual drug content was found to be much lower than claimed. Professor Tripathi said even if 400 mg is found in a 500 mg medicine, then the drug is of no use."Manufacturing a medicine is not a big deal. It has to work inside the body. Even a 5 mg shortfall in composition renders it ineffective," the professor medicines were also declared substandard after they did not dissolve at the required pH level. The police are also gathering details of similar thefts she claimed to have carried out in Rawalpindi, SSP Hassan confirmed. The accused had been employed for 14 years at a residence in Khayaban-e-Tanzeem, Defence Housing Authority, where she allegedly stole cash, jewellery, and other valuables in small increments without raising suspicion. According to Investigating Officer Saeed Theem, Shahnaz had accumulated multiple cars, motorcycles, flats, and a grocery store, and maintained bank accounts containing millions of rupees. Her assets came to light during the course of an ongoing investigation.

Garlic Shahnaz added, 'Due to its antibacterial properties, it helps restore the natural balance to the scalp, strengthens hair follicles, and reduces hair fall. Use it in a similar way by extracting its juice. However, if any irritation or itching is felt, then wash it off after 5 minutes of application.' Fenugreek seeds She said grinding fenugreek seeds after soaking them and applying the paste to the scalp promotes hair growth and helps reduce hair loss significantly. Egg mask "Take two eggs or as per your hair volume and mix one tablespoon of olive oil with it. Apply it to your hair and leave it on for 30 minutes, then wash off. Indore: A day after a fruit vendor was shot dead in his sleep in Khandwa village, the police on Sunday arrested his ex-wife and her ex-husband for the murder. The vendor, Amin Khan, 35, was sleeping inside his home with his ex-wife Shahnaz and son when the attack occurred at around 4 am on Saturday. "Shahnaz was taken into custody for questioning. Investigations revealed that she had unlocked the door of the house to let Akhtar (her ex-husband) inside, who then shot Amin in their home in Borgaon Buzurg. The investigation led to the arrest of Akhtar from Maharashtra and he was brought back to Khandwa for questioning," Pandhana police station in-charge Dilip Dewra said. Amin had married Shahnaz several years ago, and the couple had four children—two sons and two daughters. Their relationship, however strained, and about a year ago they got divorced. After separation, Shahnaz reportedly married Akhtar, a resident of Chopda in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra. The relationship between Shahnaz and Akhtar lasted only a few months before Shahnaz allegedly began missing her children. Three years ago, Shahnaz Pathan lay on a ventilator, fighting for her life during the second wave of Covid-19. This week, the 37-year-old mother of two and a student of Commerce at Shri Shivaji Night High School and Junior College, Nagpur scored 79.83% in her Class 12 board exams, one of the highest among night school students in Vidarbha. During the second wave of Covid-19, Shahnaz Pathan spent 22 days on a ventilator at Pune 's Auto Cluster Covid Hospital. Doctors had nearly given up hope. But a resilient Shahnaz recovered. The pandemic also cost her a job, prompting a move to Pune in 2020. With an ITI diploma, she secured a sales role at a European firm. But she knew a degree was essential to grow in the field. A mother of two, Shahnaz enrolled in Nagpur's Shri Shivaji Night High School and Junior College. Each month, she travelled from Pune to attend classes, balancing her job with studies and extra coaching. On May 5, when Maharashtra's Class 12 results were announced, she scored 79.83% in Commerce, the highest among night school students in Vidarbha. 'I dropped out after Class 10 due to financial issues. Now I want to complete my graduation and even pursue an MBA,' she says.
