In the women's category, the same club shined again, winning the silver medal after a tightly contested event that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. The team included Ann Rose, Rayan Najib Al Zaabi, and several others who fought hard until the end. The Kalba Women's Sports Club also showed great talent, with their junior team securing a bronze medal thanks to players like Hawar Ali Al Zeyoudi and Reem Khalfan Al Naqbi, who displayed strong teamwork and spirit. The Kalba ladies' team achieved similar success, also winning a bronze medal with the efforts of players like Ruqayya Rashid Al Dhanhani and Sheikha Mohammed Al Tunaiji, showcasing their skills in a competitive atmosphere. With this clean sweep, the team achieved a perfect season, confirming its dominance in UAE women's basketball and reflecting the development efforts led by the club. Club leadership praises strategy and teamwork Mai Al Ameri, Deputy Director of Sharjah Women's Sports Club, highlighted that the success stems from a clear strategy laid out at the season's start. She noted the team's consistency, competitiveness, and dedication to high-level representation. Al Ameri praised both technical and administrative staff for their commitment and reaffirmed Sharjah's successful investment in women's sports. Coach commends defensive prowess and youth integration Team coach Captain Walid Al Hajri celebrated the players' dedication and strong team spirit throughout the season. He described the season as 'exceptional by all standards,' noting the team's undefeated run in both official and friendly tournaments. In the Emirates Cup final, Shabab Al Ahli started strong, leading 17-10 after the first quarter and 32-18 at halftime through defensive pressure and effective rebounding. Although the third quarter saw a brief challenge from the opponents, the team regained momentum in the final quarter to seal the 54-38 win. Metha Ben Dawi, a board member of the UAE Basketball Federation, expressed pride in the foundation's significant role in supporting Emirati female athletes. Historical background The Sharjah Women's Sports Club was originally established in 1982 as the "Park Club for Girls" and was restructured in 2018 to become a leading specialised women's club, with a new headquarters opened in 2020 to enhance training environments. Growing participation and achievements During the last sports season, 522 new female athletes joined, indicating a growing sports base and expanding programs. Athletes from the foundation achieved notable successes, including three medals at the Arab Taekwondo Championship and several medals in judo and karate competitions. SWSC wins 28 medals UAE Women's Athletics Cup
There were exciting competitions in three age groups: Under 13, Under 16, and Under 19. Sharjah Club stood out by winning both the U13 Cup and the U16 Cup, showcasing an impressive performance that earned them a total of 28 medals: 10 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze. New record in the U13 division Sarah Fahad had an outstanding performance, winning two gold medals in the under-13 category by finishing first in both the 200-meter hurdles and the 300-meter race. In the 200-meter hurdles, Rawda Al-Jaberi took home a silver medal, while Maria Fahad earned a bronze. Alia Khaled Saeed also shined, winning gold in the 80-meter race and silver in the 300-meter race. Fawaghi Hamid secured a bronze medal in the 300-meter event as well. In the jumping events, Samar Saleh excelled, winning gold medals in both the long jump and high jump. Reem Youssef followed with a silver medal in the high jump. In the throwing competitions, Hanan Ibrahim dominated by winning gold in both the shot put and discus throw. Maryam Issa added to the excitement by winning a bronze medal in the discus throw. Maitha Juma and Ahed Mohammed performed well, earning silver and bronze medals in shot put, respectively, while Alyazia Tariq Juma completed the throwing events with a bronze medal in the hammer throw. Kalba, SWS remarkable achievements for in Open Judo Championship

The Kalba Women's Sports Club had 20 players competing, split evenly between the junior and youth groups, while the Sharjah Women's Sports Club fielded five junior players. The results for Kalba were impressive, especially in the junior women's category, where they won five gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal. In the youth category, they secured three gold medals, five silver medals, and one bronze medal, showcasing the club's strong focus on training and development. Sharjah Women's Sports Club also had a commendable performance, with their five junior players earning one gold medal in the -70 kg weight class and a silver medal in the -36 kg class. All participants from Sharjah are part of the Sports Incubators Project, which aims to provide a supportive training environment for young girls, helping them develop their skills early on. Souriya Haddad, the Judo Technical Director, commented on the championship, saying it highlighted the impressive progress in the athletes' skills and physical abilities.
