Shell reboots LiveWIRE programme for Malaysian entrepreneurs
KUALA LUMPUR: Shell has brought back its Shell LiveWIRE Malaysia programme this year, calling on Malaysian entrepreneurs nationwide to participate.
The initiative aims to empower budding entrepreneurs and could be a catalyst for their business journey.
The programme guides entrepreneurs through a series of workshops designed to help them develop or refine their business ideas, validate their business models and equip them for success as business owners.
Participants will also take part in a pitching workshop and competition towards the end of the programme, aimed at building essential skills to support their business growth.
Shell said it is seeking entrepreneurs with ideas that drive environmental sustainability, social impact and business innovation.
"Shell LiveWire Malaysia will run in Kuching, Kota Kinabalu and Peninsular Malaysia. Five winners from each state will receive seed grants of RM10,000," it said in a statement today.
The five winners from each state will then compete at the national level, where five national winners will stand a chance to win an additional RM30,000.
"Alongside the grant, the winners will also be provided with mentorship and guidance to kickstart their businesses, from the Shell LiveWire Malaysia facilitators for the next three years and stand a chance to be absorbed into Shell's supply chain and a chance to go into partnership with Shell retailers," it added.
Application deadlines are set for May 12 in Kuching, June 9 in Kota Kinabalu and July 7 for Peninsular Malaysia.
