Cast of Iconic '80s Drama 'Dallas' Is Virtually Unrecognizable Nearly 35 Years After the Show's End

Cast of Iconic '80s Drama 'Dallas' Is Virtually Unrecognizable Nearly 35 Years After the Show's End originally appeared on Parade. The original cast of the '80s TV drama Dallas is proving you can go home again. The stars of the headline-making family drama, which aired its first season in 1978 (gasp!), recently reunited for a gathering of Ewing family members—and their enemies—that has fans zooming in to see what the iconic stars of the highly rated series look like now. Thanks to Blue Lagoon star Christopher Atkins, who portrayed steamy camp counselor Peter Richards for one season in 1983–1984, Gen Xers are getting a first look at the recent Dallas cast reunion."You still look like that kid," one fan commented to Atkins, 64, on a post he shared to his Instagram account featuring the Dallas originals posing for an epic group photo. Absent from the photo are Larry Hagman—whose 'Who Shot J.R.?' storyline was one of the biggest TV events in history—Barbara Bel Geddes, who portrayed matriarch Miss Ellie Ewing, and Jim Davis, who played Ewing family patriarch Jock Ewing. Hagman passed away in 2012 at the age of 81, while Bel Geddes died in 2005 at 82, and Davis was 71 when he passed away in star Victoria Principal, 75, was also absent from the Dallas cast group photo. Looking dazzling at 84 is actress Linda Gray, alongside the still-handsome Patrick Duffy, 76, whose nice-guy Bobby Ewing became one of Hollywood's hottest heartthrobs. Charlene Tilton, 66, still shines decades after portraying Lucy Ewing. Comments ranged from adoring to envious, with fans of the iconic show coming down with a serious case of FOMO (that's the fear of missing out). Dallas may have aired its last season in 1991—with a three-season reboot in 2012—but fan reaction to seeing the original cast proves their popularity is still as strong as it was in the 1980s. 🎬SIGN UP for Parade's Daily newsletter to get the latest pop culture news & celebrity interviews delivered right to your inbox🎬 Cast of Iconic '80s Drama 'Dallas' Is Virtually Unrecognizable Nearly 35 Years After the Show's End first appeared on Parade on Aug 9, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Aug 9, 2025, where it first appeared.
