Here are some easy ways to find good books and free ways to listen. The beginning of summer is exactly one month away, but school years are winding down, and warmer weather has everyone, including Spotify, thinking about the season ahead. To kick things off, the music streaming giant released its predictions for the top songs of summer 2025, and it's an eclectic mix. The global list consists of 30 songs from various genres, including afro-fusion, pop, dance rave and lowkey tunes from artists ranging from Charli xcx and Drake to Lorde and Florence + The Machine. Spotify uses "cultural expertise, editorial instinct, and streaming data" to curate its Songs of Summer list, which has proven to be fairly accurate in the past, including predicting Billie Eilish's "BIRDS OF A FEATHER," Sabrina Carpenter's "Espresso" and Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" would make the 2024 list. Check out Spotify's 2025 predictions below. Top music genres of summer 2025 predicted by Spotify Spotify editors noted the popular global spread of afro-fusion, with songs like 'Show Me Love (with Tyla)' by WizTheMc, bees & honey and Tyla, and 'YA BABA' by DYSTINCT and French Montana. On the pop frontier, what Spotify described as lyric-driven "lovestruck pop" is expected to make streaming charts with tracks like 'Ordinary,' 'Blue Strips' and 'back to friends' by breakout artists Alex Warren, Jessie Murph and sombr. Summer partiers will probably be playing high-speed dance and rave hits like 'Running Around' by Ely Oaks and 'Say My Name - Remix' by Morgan Seatree & Florence + The Machine, while lazier summer days are expected to be soundtracked by "hazy" and chill beats like "No One Noticed' by The Marías and 'You'll Be in My Heart - Spotify Singles' by NIKI. Top 30 songs of summer 2025 predictions Note that Spotify organized this global list alphabetically by artist name and not as a ranking system.

Tyla has revealed the release date for her new single, 'Bliss'. The 'Water' hit-maker first previewed the song at her 2025 Coachella debut and later hinted at the single's arrival through a recent collaboration with Erewhon, where she launched a limited-edition smoothie, which was also called 'Bliss'. The smoothie, which is not only a tasty treat but also a way to give back, supports 18twenty8, an organisation empowering girls in South Africa through education and personal development strategies. Tyla has previously expressed her excitement to share her new music with the world, and it is clear that she's been working hard to create something special. Last year, in an interview with Coke Studio, the 23-year-old singer shared how she wanted to break away from her original sound when she released 'Tears', a single in collaboration with Coke Studio. With 'Tears', she showcased her enchanting vocals, revealing a more vulnerable side that is different from her previous work. Breaking away from the amapiano and pop sound that she is best known for, Tyla may be embarking on an exciting new journey with 'Bliss', and it is only a matter of time until fans get to experience it. The Grammy Award-winning singer also featured on 'Show Me Love', a single by South African artist WizTheMc. Trent Alexander-Arnold filmed wild Premier League title celebrations at party
Trent Alexander-Arnold could look to replicate his exuberant celebrations from Liverpool's title success in 2020 should the Reds be crowned Premier League champions on Wednesday. Arne Slot's side will officially secure a first league title in five years with victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday but the job could already be done by then should Arsenal fail to beat Crystal Palace. The Gunners trail Liverpool by 13 points and only a victory against the Eagles will ensure they delay the title celebrations on Merseyside for a few more days. Should Mikel Arteta's outfit drop points against their London rivals, however, then the league will be Liverpool's. While the Reds would likely much rather get the job done in front of their own fans with a win over Tottenham this weekend, there are sure to be celebrations amongst the squad on Wednesday nonetheless. READ MORE: Liverpool receives windfall ahead of summer transfer window as UEFA reveals $265M payment READ MORE: Graeme Souness outlines what Arne Slot needs for Liverpool to build on Premier League success Just like in 2020, when Liverpool's first-team squad gathered at nearby Formby Hall in Lancashire to watch Chelsea defeat Manchester City to confirm them as champions, members of the Reds first-team are likely to be watching Arsenal's game with Crystal Palace in case the same happens once more. Should this be the case, then Reds fans are likely to be keeping a keen eye on Alexander-Arnold's social media if his 2020 celebrations are anything to go by. Following Liverpool's title success under Jurgen Klopp half a decade ago, the Reds right-back documented the joyous scenes on his Instagram account, much to the enjoyment of adoring Kopites watching on. From waving scarves and jumping up and down in unison to belting out 90s dance anthem "Show Me Love", fans were given an insight into exactly how their favorite players toasted the biggest night of their career. At a time when Covid-19 restrictions were in place, Alexander-Arnold's social media posts were one of the few things supporters could access. Having initially gathered at the hotel to watch Chelsea's 2-1 victory over Man City at Stamford Bridge on a big screen, the players - after speaking to the media - soon moved on to a championship celebration, accompanied by their wives. Soon enough, various pictures and videos emerged on the players' social media accounts, showing off the momentous occasion. The likes of Mohamed Salah, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Virgil van Dijk posted selfies with their fellow teammates, breaking into cheers upon the final-whistle at Stamford Bridge, while striker Divock Origi soon posted a picture of the drinks on offer for the players behind the bar. Fabinho, Roberto Firmino, and Adrian smiled with a large bottle of Carlsberg. The big party also saw Liverpool's players wearing pre-printed red t-shirts that read, "Champions 19-20", on them which was further evident in videos on Alexander-Arnold's Instagram story as players danced through the night inside a red-lit room. Eventually, those shirts became soaked through with various drinks. Meanwhile, thousands of fans gathered on the streets outside Anfield to host their own celebrations, where red flares lit up the night sky and supporters boomed out chants until the early hours. Should Wednesday's fixture between Arsenal and Crystal Palace go in Liverpool's favor, then the same can be fully expected to happen once more.

Drømmer (Dreams) review – teen's high romantic hopes throw adults into disarray
Here is the third in a playful trilogy from Norwegian novelist and film-maker Dag Johan Haugerud (after Sex and Love, which appeared last year at Berlin and Venice respectively). This one is a sly, garrulous, mischievous piece with something of Lukas Moodysson's early film Show Me Love; it saunters lightly and entertainingly along, breaking all the screenplay-seminar rules against voiceovers (of which it has lengthy stretches but it never feels oppressive). I can imagine two different sorts of US English-language remake: one which ramps up the wry indie comedy, and another which transfers the emphasis to a dead-serious generational family drama. Neither would have this insouciant flavour. The setting is Oslo and Ella Øverbye plays Johanne, a 17-year-old at high school who is dissatisfied with her life; she lives with single mum Kristin (Ane Dahl Torp) and is also close to her grandmother Karin (Anne Marit Jacobsen). Her world is turned upside–down with the arrival of new teacher Johanna (Selome Emnetu) who is dynamic, charismatic and attractive. Dreamy Johanne nurses a crush on her that escalates to obsession and she becomes deeply in love with this beautiful, inspirational teacher – which plunges her into depression. In desperation, Johanne goes round to see Johanna uninvited, knocks tearfully on her door and Johanna opens it and hugs her, apparently instantly empathetic. Or is there something more? … The key thing is that we are finding out about this (but not all of it) after the event. Johanne has written a sensationally intimate memoir of their relationship that she nervously shows in manuscript to her grandmother Karin, a published poet whose own literary career is in fact fizzling; Karin then shows it to Johanne's astonished mother. Both hardly know what to think and have tense conversations about whether or not the later, more explicit parts are real or made up: just 'dreams'. The director toys with us, not showing these later scenes yet, and letting us wonder if we will ever see them at all. But the older women's concerns are not merely pastoral. The film shows us that both are astounded at Johanne's story for different reasons. Karin sees that as a writer and perhaps also as a human being she herself has been timid and tepid compared to her granddaughter; Johanne's literary work – so daring, so vulnerable – shows her to have more passion and more talent. Kristin, who is at first outraged at evidence of what could be considered abuse but is perhaps nothing of the kind, also comes to respect this extraordinary achievement and thinks publication might be a good idea; she is also clearly uneasy at her own lukewarm emotional life of tentative online dates. She has an amusingly tense conversation with Johanna, who smilingly airs the theory that the pupil could be said to be abusing the teacher. Certainly, that issue might come up if the memoir was published. But would publishing a book like this be a dream come true? A glorious entree into the world of literary celebrity, like Françoise Sagan's Bonjour Tristesse? Maybe not. This is an amiably talky film, and yet I never for a moment considered that the central relationship was being presented with anything less than seriousness, and there is much dry comedy to be enjoyed. Drømmer (Dreams) screened at the Berlin film festival.
