Stuck for 7 yrs, teacher's land issue solved at DC junta darbar
Ranchi: Deputy commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri on Monday held weekly janta darbar (public meeting), where around 101 citizens from rural and urban parts of the district turned up with complaints, ranging from pensions, land encroachment, land mutation delays, among others.
Bhajantri offered on-spot resolution to the people, while in case requiring proper probe, officials were directed to redress on priority.
A teacher, Naresh Rajak, has been struggling to obtain a slip to get his land record corrected for the past seven years at the Namkum zonal office. "My issue was finally resolved today," he said.
In cases involving land disputes, the DC verified the online status of applications and instructed zonal officers over phone to take action.
One Shukar Palak Sangh had during May 19 janta darbar submitted a request to the district administration to curb hotel waste, which affected his business. The deputy commissioner had asked for a detailed list, which was submitted on Monday. Acting upon it, he instructed officials from the Ranchi Municipal Corporation to initiate appropriate action without delay.
In another case, a woman requested for a ration card to avail benefits under the Ayushman Yojana for an urgent operation of her husband, who had suffered a heart attack recently.
