8 schoolbuses flouting safety norms fined
Panchkula: Members of Haryana state commission for protection of child rights, Anil Kumar and Shyam Shukla, visited the district Monday to ensure the implementaion of the Safe School Vehicle policy.
The team carried out a surprise inspection at Holy Child School in the Morni block
. The team said one of the schoolbuses was found to have a speed governor installed but it was non-functional. The bus was seized. Eight buses were fined for non-compliance with norms related to CCTVs & fire safety equipment. tnn
