Schoolboy cyclist dies after being hit by a car in Middlewich
A schoolboy cyclist has died after being hit by a car. Police say the 11-year-old suffered serious injuries and died at the scene of the crash in Cheshire. It happened on Booth Lane in Middlewich, near to its junction with Tetton Lane, on 28 April, just before 2.15pm. The crash involved a black Fiesta ST and a pedal cyclist. Cheshire Police say the "occupants of the Fiesta have been arrested" and the young cyclist's family are being supported by specialist officers. Sergeant Simon Degg said: 'This is an incredibly sad incident in which a young boy has lost his life. Our thoughts remain with his family and friends at this difficult time. 'We would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident and hasn't already spoken to police to get in touch with us. "The same goes for anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam footage, which could aid our enquiries."

Boy, 11, dies after being hit by car while riding bike in Cheshire
An 11-year-old boy has died after he was struck by a car while riding his bike in child was hit by a black Ford Fiesta on Booth Lane in Middlewich, close to the junction with Tetton Lane, at about 14:15 BST, Cheshire Police said. The force said the driver and passengers in the car were arrested but did not disclose the precise number of people or the offences they were held on suspicion Simon Degg appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant video footage to come forward. The boy died at the scene and his family were being supported, the force Degg said: "Our thoughts remain with his family and friends at this difficult time."We would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident and hasn't already spoken to police to get in touch with us."
