Tom Holland Wore His Grandma's Fishnets During ‘Lip Sync Battle'
Aside from being an incredibly successful actor and our latest Spider-Man, Tom Holland goes down in history as one of the best Lip Sync Battle performers of all time, thanks to his mashup of Gene Kelly's 'Singing in the Rain' and Rihanna's 'Umbrella' in 2017. Just when we thought we knew everything about the hilarious moment where he secured his win against Zendaya's Bruno Mars cosplay, Tom casually dropped some new lore about his lip sync battle eight years later. During an appearance on Gordon Ramsay's Scrambled YouTube series, the celebrity chef got Tom to spill some details as they made spicy chicken sandwiches together. When asked if he borrowed his tights for his 'Umbrella' lip sync, Tom revealed, 'Were they mum's fishnets? They were my granny's, actually.' He added, 'What was really great about that is people didn't know that I could dance. I kept that quiet, I don't know why. And I came out with a bang.' As for how he and his now-fiancée prepped for the battle, Tom said they had originally agreed to keep things pretty chill. 'It's so funny, Zendaya and I, we were chatting at the time about what we were gonna do, and we had agreed that we would take it easy,' he explained to the celeb chef. 'That was the agreement, that it was like, 'I'm not gonna do anything crazy, you're not gonna do anything crazy, we're just gonna keep it nice and easy breezy.'' Obviously, it was nothing of the sort, as they pulled up in full costume for each of their lip syncs. Now, let's have a moment of silence (or, in our case, an uproar of laughter) for Tom's complete masterpiece of a performance: An icon, truly.

Orland Park celebrates May Day with dancing around a maypole
In a nod to the past — the very old past — the village of Orland Park hosted a May Day celebration Saturday. The spring celebration can be traced back to Roman times, but the village's historical sites program used the event to highlight the Stellwagen Farm with a traditionally English version of the spring event. Libby Paulson, the historic sites supervisor, pointed out many of Orland Park's early settlers were English and would have had traditions celebrating the community. For an afternoon, the farm took a trip back in time. Under blue, cloudy skies, Pullman Morris and Sword, a Morris dance troupe from the Pullman community, performed English folk dances in period clothes, played drums, accordions and a fiddle and wrapped up with a maypole dance befitting the welcoming of warmer weather. In a nod to 21st century habits, a coffee and drink food truck set up shop just off the field. But for two hours, Orland Park neighbors came together over folk dances and flower garlands. Some visitors even brought their own garlands and bright spring dresses. 'I've been coming to maypole festivals and celebrations, so I thought I'd come to this one,' said Phoenix Crane, who was in town visiting her mother. This was the first year for the event, but dozens of families poured into the field behind the historic red barn. 'We live next door,' explained Casey Renz, who brought along his daughter and wife. 'We saw the sign and we walk the trail every day.' Their daughter, Tracey, made a flower wreath at a crafts table manned by a couple of Orland Park Historical Society volunteers. Sandra Zahara, one of the volunteers, said she moved to Orland Park in 1968 but had only volunteered about seven years. One of the things she said she learned as a volunteer is, even from the early days, the first European settlers here celebrated their settlement. 'They loved their community and they did a lot of stuff together,' Zahara said. 'The people who lived here then, they all knew each other,' said another volunteer, Shirlee Calabrese. The celebration ended with unwrapping the woven ribbons from around the pole, bidding crowds goodbye. 'I think it went great, I'm very happy,' Paulson said. For the next year, Paulson said the maypole will live in her office as a memento to spring and summer, a farewell to winter. Whether it will ever return again, however, is uncertain. 'It really depends,' Paulson said. 'We would love to have it again and get different groups out here.' For now, Paulson is focused on this year, on this summer. In June, the Stellwagen Farm will host a movie night showing of 'Singing in the Rain' and then in late summer the farm will host a vintage baseball game.

Inside $80m star Kristin Stewart's 'budget' wedding at low-key venue favored by A-listers
Many were left shocked when Twilight star Kristen Stewart, who is worth an estimated $80 million, chose a budget-friendly Mexican restaurant to wed her partner Dylan Meyer in a very relaxed ceremony last week. However, can reveal that the venue holds a hidden meaning for the happy couple, as it has long been considered a haven to the LGBTQ community of Los Angeles, and has quite the Hollywood backstory. Decades before Kristen publicly came out as queer in 2017, Casita del Campo was a refuge for the gay community to dine in a 'safe space' including legendary screen actor Rock Hudson who famously kept his sexuality a secret from the public for his entire career. The intimate family-owned eatery was opened in 1962 by West Side Story actor Rudy del Campo. Unmissable with it's vibrant pink exterior, the restaurant is located in LA's hip Silver Lake neighborhood and is known as an LGBTQ haven where drag shows have been held at it's very own underground theater, The Cavern Club. 'Our supportive relationship with the [queer] community started with my parents... and continues every single day,' owner Robert del Campo, the son of founder Rudy, told The Infatuation in 2020. The late Rudy opened the doors to Casita del Campo with his family in 1962 following a showbiz career that spanned Broadway, Las Vegas, and the big screen. Rudy, a dancer and actor, appeared in Singing in the Rain, An American In Paris, A Star Is Born, and even played a Shark in the musical film West Side Story - his last movie before he pivoted into the restaurant industry. Casita Del Campo was launched with the paycheck Rudy earned from West Side Story, according to KCRW. 'West Side Story was [Rudy's] last film. He had a small business administration pamphlet and just went down the list of businesses. And when he got to [the word] restaurant, it's like, 'I think we can do this. Let's give this a shot.' It was a very practical solution,' Robert told the outlet. Rudy, whose friends included those in Hollywood who had not come out, wanted his pals to feel free to be themselves at Casita Del Campo, according to Opentable. The restaurant has served as a retreat as other LGBTQ establishments in the area became the target of raids. In the 70s, Rudy even built privacy curtains on the bar booths so his LGBTQ diners could feel safe, according to the outlet. 'Word spread quickly that this is a safe space to enjoy your lives,' Robert told Opentable in 2023. 'We live for the camaraderie of all these human beings— providing for each other—to make another day better for everybody.' Several years after Rudy launched the restaurant, he met the woman who would not only become a colleague but his wife - Nina del Campo. The couple 'instantly fell in love' following their meeting in 1965 and were married until Rudy's death in 2003. The restaurant remains in the family, with Rudy's son Robert becoming owner the same year his father died. 'This place was made with love, and that is the most important ingredient of how it still runs to this day,' he told The Infatuation. The menu boasts mouth-watering Mexican staples such as freshly made guacamole, enchiladas, taquitos, carne asada, and margaritas. The restaurant has attracted A-listers such a Katy Perry, Gwen Stefani, Robert Pattinson, and St. Vincent, who have all eaten there. Stewart and Dylan were reportedly regulars at the restaurant before they tied the knot on Easter, People reported. The couple said 'I do' in front of 170 guests and the celebrations lasted after midnight, a source told the site. The restaurant announced the day before Stewart's wedding that they would be closing on Easter for a 'private event' Stewart, who came out as gay in 2017, has been dating Meyer, a screenwriter, since 2019. They announced their engagement in 2021. The day before the wedding, the restaurant announced they would be closed on Easter for a 'private event.' Alongside a photo of a camellia in bloom, the eatery posted to Instagram: 'Easter Sunday 4/20/25 we will be closed for a private event day and night. Blessings and Love ❤️... Open on Monday 11am... Viva la Vida.'
