WATCH: Brazilian nun goes viral for beatboxing on a Catholic TV show

Brazilian nun starts beatboxing on live TV. Image: TikTok screenshot Now this is something you don't see every day. Sister Marizele, a Brazilian nun, has taken the internet by storm after a video of her beatboxing on a Catholic TV show went viral. The clip comes from an episode that aired on Pai Eterno, a Portuguese-language Catholic channel, featuring two nuns and a priest chatting about their ministry work. Dressed in matching light blue skirts and white blouses, the sisters were performing a song when suddenly, Sister Marizele switched gears and started beatboxing like a pro. As if that wasn't enough fun, the second nun, who was simply swaying to the tune, started doing some hip-hop dance moves. Not to be outdone, the priest who was quietly standing in the background joined the impromptu dance party. Even the show's host had to get up and move out of the way to make room for the dancing trio. Video Player is loading. The video has been reposted everywhere, with people comparing the joyful moment to scenes from the 1992 movie 'Sister Act.' In the movie Sister Mary Clarence, played by Whoopi Goldberg, turns a boring nun's choir into a musical sensation. One person commented, 'They really dropping Sister Act remake in 2025 huh?!' Another wrote, 'I'm loving this real-life ad for Sister Act 3.' But beyond the laughs and beats, viewers appreciated the reminder that nuns and priests had lives and passions before joining the church. 'People seem to forget that before becoming nuns or priests, they were teenagers with a love of music and going out. I love seeing them showing off their amazing talents,' wrote one viewer. Johnny Depp Looks Totally Different 3 Years After His Courtroom Comeback

Three years after his headline-making trial against ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp popped back onto Hollywood's radar — and he's rocking a brand new look. On Monday, April 14, Lionsgate dropped the first photo from Day Drinker, an upcoming thriller currently filming in Spain. In the image, the 61-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actor is barely recognizable — dressed in a navy suit, holding a drink, and staring off-camera with silver hair tied back and a full gray beard. More from Spin: Whoopi Goldberg Reveals Major 'Sister Act 3' Update Zendaya Surprises Fans with 'Shrek 5' Role in New Trailer Anne Hathaway Credits Christopher Nolan With Reviving Her Career According to the film's official synopsis, Day Drinker follows a private-yacht bartender (Madelyn Cline) who crosses paths with a mysterious onboard guest (Depp). The two soon become entangled with a dangerous figure played by Penélope Cruz — and, apparently, 'connected in ways no one saw coming.' Shortly after the photo hit social media, fans wasted no time reacting. 'Johnny Silver Fox Depp 🥂✨✨✨,' one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter). 'WOW Looking great JD ❤️❤️🫶 Can't wait ❤️🔥❤️🔥,' another said. 'Johnny seems to be pulling off a new look!' added a third. 'He looks like he's playing the guy from the Dos Equis commercials… and I'm kinda here for it??' someone else joked. Not everyone was on board, though. 'Johnny Depp will flop so badly it's the end of his career,' one user commented. 'The role he was born to play. He doesn't even need to act!' another chimed in. 'Way to lean into the aging 🧓,' someone else wrote. Day Drinker marks Depp's first studio-backed role since Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald in 2018. The Hollywood icon was asked to step down from the franchise in 2020 after losing a libel case in the U.K. against a tabloid that referred to him as a 'wife beater.' Though Depp denied the allegations, a judge ruled that the outlet's claims were 'substantially true.' Fast forward to 2022, the Alice in Wonderland star sued Heard — whom he was married to from February 2015 to January 2017 — over an op-ed she wrote in 2018 about surviving domestic violence. Though Heard, now 38, didn't name Depp, a jury found she had defamed him with actual malice and awarded him more than $10 million in damages. Heard won one of her own claims and was awarded $2 million. Since the trial, Depp's appeared in the French film Jeanne du Barry, which opened the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, and directed Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness — his first time in the director's chair in over two decades. Meanwhile, Heard relocated to Spain with daughter Oonagh, whom she welcomed in April 2021 via surrogate. In a May 2023 TikTok clip, the Aquaman actress told local reporters she 'loves living' in the country and plans to stay long-term. More recently, the proud mom revealed she's expecting her second child. 'It is still quite early in the pregnancy,' a spokesperson told People in December. 'But Amber is delighted both for herself and Oonagh Paige.' Read More! I'm Forever Abiding By Whoopi Goldberg's #1 Drinking Rule

"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links." Just days before presenting at the Oscars, Whoopi Goldberg launched her eponymous prosecco label after three years in development. "I like to have the highest grade alcohol to serve my guests," she exclusively told Delish during her launch party on February 28. "I don't drink, but I want to always spend time giving things to people that don't make them feel bad at the end of the day, or curse me the next morning, saying 'Oh, that was terrible stuff.'" Though Goldberg is sober, she was inspired to create Whoopi Prosecco in part to put out a superior product. "I always wanted to create alcohol that didn't hurt people and this is a good beginning," she shared. The prosecco is made from 100% organic Glera grapes in Italy and crafted in a certified sustainable winery.$20.99 at ReserveBar As for when the EGOT winner claims is the best time to indulge? "When you're not going to get in trouble at work for drinking," she joked. (Little does she know we have a bar in the Delish test kitchen!) Aside from that, she maintains that when—and if—you choose to imbibe is really up to you. "When it makes you happiest, most comfortable, when you want to feel good—it's good any time of the day, but I always say after 10 a.m.," Goldberg said. (Look, I can't say I disagree, but I'll always make an exception for a good mimosa... you know, the kind that's 95% bubbly and 5% juice.) As for age-old question of whether or not to put ice in your wine, Goldberg's no hater. "I've come to understand that everyone has different taste," she said. "And so if that's what floats your boat, it's the greatest thing." When we asked who she'd most want to share a (non-alcoholic, of course!) toast with, she revealed that honor goes to her daughter, Alexandrea Martin, who was there to celebrate the momentous occasion with her mom. Hopefully the next time they toast will be at the premiere of Sister Act 3, which Goldberg teased during the end of our interview and later again on the Oscars red carpet. Fingers crossed! "Sister Act 3" Gets Script Update

Yara Sameh As Whoopi Goldberg hit the Oscars red carpet 34 years after she won Best Supporting Actress for 'Ghost,' she revealed that she has seen a finished script for 'Sister Act 3.' 'We're hoping it'll happen sometime this year,' Goldberg said at the Oscars red carpet in Hollywood earlier Sunday. But when asked what she thought about the script, Goldberg responded by saying: 'It doesn't matter what I think. It only matters if Disney wants to do it.' Goldberg starred in the first 'Sister Act' back in 1992, which grossed $231 million on a $31 million budget. She returned for the sequel, 'Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit,' reprising her role as a former lounge singer in the witness protection program who is forced to hide out in a California convent. Ever since the successful first two comedies, people have speculated about a third. Variety reported back in 2020 that Goldberg was officially starring in a threequel, with Tyler Perry producing. Following Maggie Smith's death this past September, Goldberg said: 'We're having to make some readjustments [to 'Sister Act 3″] because we just lost Maggie Smith, as you know. And so, we will get it done. We will get it done. It's a shift.' Before her Oscar win for 'Ghost,' Goldberg received her first Oscar nomination for 'The Color Purple' back in 1986. At the Oscars ceremony, she is expected to pay tribute to the beloved classic alongside Oprah Winfrey. Goldberg has hosted the Oscars four times over the years and still holds the record as the only Black woman to host the ceremony solo.

More than four years after she first confirmed the film was in the works, the EGOT winner shared where the movie-making process stands following the death of costar Maggie Smith.'I had hoped to get it done before Maggie passed, and we weren't able to do that,' Whoopi told Zuri Hall during Live From E!: The Oscars on March 2 (see every star on the red carpet at L.A.'s Dolby Theatre here). 'But they have the script now, so fingers are crossed.' Both actresses appeared in the original 1992 movie Sister Act—in which Whoopi plays Vegas singer Deloris Van Cartier who hides out in a convent run by Maggie's character Mother Superior and turns a struggling choir into a successful group performing beloved hits—as well as in the 1993 sequel Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit. While The View host originally announced in 2020 that a third Sister Act movie was being made, she noted they had to make some changes after the Downton Abbey star died at the age of 89 in September 2024.
