Johnny Depp Looks Totally Different 3 Years After His Courtroom Comeback
Three years after his headline-making trial against ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp popped back onto Hollywood's radar — and he's rocking a brand new look.
On Monday, April 14, Lionsgate dropped the first photo from Day Drinker, an upcoming thriller currently filming in Spain. In the image, the 61-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean actor is barely recognizable — dressed in a navy suit, holding a drink, and staring off-camera with silver hair tied back and a full gray beard.

According to the film's official synopsis, Day Drinker follows a private-yacht bartender (Madelyn Cline) who crosses paths with a mysterious onboard guest (Depp). The two soon become entangled with a dangerous figure played by Penélope Cruz — and, apparently, 'connected in ways no one saw coming.'
Shortly after the photo hit social media, fans wasted no time reacting.
'Johnny Silver Fox Depp 🥂✨✨✨,' one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
'WOW Looking great JD ❤️❤️🫶 Can't wait ❤️🔥❤️🔥,' another said.
'Johnny seems to be pulling off a new look!' added a third.
'He looks like he's playing the guy from the Dos Equis commercials… and I'm kinda here for it??' someone else joked.
Not everyone was on board, though.
'Johnny Depp will flop so badly it's the end of his career,' one user commented.
'The role he was born to play. He doesn't even need to act!' another chimed in.
'Way to lean into the aging 🧓,' someone else wrote.
Day Drinker marks Depp's first studio-backed role since Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald in 2018. The Hollywood icon was asked to step down from the franchise in 2020 after losing a libel case in the U.K. against a tabloid that referred to him as a 'wife beater.' Though Depp denied the allegations, a judge ruled that the outlet's claims were 'substantially true.'
Fast forward to 2022, the Alice in Wonderland star sued Heard — whom he was married to from February 2015 to January 2017 — over an op-ed she wrote in 2018 about surviving domestic violence. Though Heard, now 38, didn't name Depp, a jury found she had defamed him with actual malice and awarded him more than $10 million in damages. Heard won one of her own claims and was awarded $2 million.
Since the trial, Depp's appeared in the French film Jeanne du Barry, which opened the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, and directed Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness — his first time in the director's chair in over two decades.
Meanwhile, Heard relocated to Spain with daughter Oonagh, whom she welcomed in April 2021 via surrogate. In a May 2023 TikTok clip, the Aquaman actress told local reporters she 'loves living' in the country and plans to stay long-term.
More recently, the proud mom revealed she's expecting her second child. 'It is still quite early in the pregnancy,' a spokesperson told People in December. 'But Amber is delighted both for herself and Oonagh Paige.'

Diddy's prison duds are up for sale — but not from his ongoing trial
Life imitates art. The prison costume that Sean 'Diddy' Combs donned on screen in 'Monster's Ball' more than two decades before he was locked up for a horrifying string of alleged sex and abuse crimes is up for auction. Bidding on GWS Auctions will open next week for the rapper's iconic ensemble from the star-studded 2001 romantic-thriller drama. 3 Sean 'Diddy' Combs played a convicted murderer in the 2001 film 'Monster's Ball.' ©Lions Gate/Courtesy Everett Collection Advertisement In the film, Combs, 55, played a murderer — 11 years before he allegedly broke into rapper Kid Cudi's home in a real-life plot to kill his love rival. 'The costume is worn by Sean Combs during the beginning to middle of the film while in prison and meeting with his son and wife 'Leticia' (portrayed by Halle Berry) to say goodbye before being executed,' the auction house wrote. The outfit includes a short-sleeved white Hanes crew neck T-shirt, a light grey crew neck sweatshirt with cut-off sleeves, a pair of Faded Glory blue jeans — with one pant leg sliced off — and a pair of black canvas slip-on shoes. Advertisement It also comes with a production costumer's tag with insider details on the costumer and movie scene in which it appears. 3 The costume will be up for bidding next week. GSW Auctions The duds are a far cry from the orange monochrome jumpsuit Combs is mandated to wear while he sits at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. Combs' trial has been ongoing for more than three weeks, with the judge expecting it to last as long as eight. Advertisement On Friday, the rapper's former live-in assistant remained strong as she was laboriously grilled in Manhattan court over her explosive accusations that the disgraced music mogul repeatedly sexually assaulted her. 3 The film came out more than two decades before Combs was arrested in Manhattan. ©Lions Gate/Courtesy Everett Collection 'Mia' – who testified anonymously as an alleged victim of sexual abuse – also claimed that her ex-boss threatened to throw her off a yacht because she took too long counting $100,000 in cash. She is just one of Combs' many alleged victims over his decades as an A-list celebrity, the most notorious being his ex-girlfriend and alleged hostage, Cassie Ventura. Advertisement Combs allegedly sexually and physically abused Ventura and refused to free her from his toxic grasp — going so far as to plot to kill rapper Kid Cudi when he heard Ventura had moved on with him, prosecutors allege. Combs has pleaded not guilty to the charges, which carry up to life in prison, if convicted.

Marvel's Ironheart Series Gets Stunning New Poster Ahead of Disney+ Release
With less than a month remaining in the premiere of , Marvel has come out to drop a brand new poster for the upcoming Disney+ series. The one-sheet showcases Riri Williams in a new Ironheart suit with features that mimic the iconic costume of Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man. Marvel Studios recently took to social media to share a new poster for its forthcoming Disney+ outing, Ironheart. The colorful promo art shared on X (formerly Twitter) looks like an amalgamation of multiple layers, highlighting half of Riri Williams' face, with a freshly introduced mask covering the other half. Set in the backdrop of what looks like William's hometown of Chicago, the image predominantly contains a palette of four colors, namely white, black, red, and gold. Here's the new Ironheart promo art: While the poster only teases a suit that Dominique Thorne's Riri Williams could don in the Ironheart series, it showcases a design that MCU fans have yet to witness on camera. Additionally, the poster features a tagline, 'Every dream has a cost,' which sets up the high-stakes adventure that the titular character will embark on. Taking place after the events of 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ironheart will follow Williams' journey as she attempts to realize her ambition of inventing technological advancements, including her Iron Man-esque suits. However, along the way, she inadvertently crosses paths with the magical world of the MCU after encountering Anthony Ramos' Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. In addition to Ramos and Thorne, the Ironheart series will feature the likes of Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White in pivotal roles. The show has already had to endure a significant amount of controversies, with audiences lambasting its first official trailer and Ironheart's co-creator, Mike Deodato Jr., claiming that Marvel did not pay him for the Disney+ series. Regardless, the Ironheart series is on track to hit the small screens with a three-episode premiere on June 24, 2025. Originally reported by Apoorv Rastogi on SuperHeroHype.
