You can't get much closer to Gatwick Airport that Yotelair - the hotel is one floor below the main terminal. It is just around the corner from the airport shuttle too, so it is ideal for both North and South Terminal departures What is the hotel like? The airport is, as to be expected - compact, being not much more than a base. However, it doesn't feel too cramped, with bright lighting lining the corridors to show you the way to your rooms. Advertisement The hotel has also recently launched their £15 'Slayover Concierges' kit in collaboration with Gillian Anderson's wellness drinks brand, G Spot which can be purchased at the hotel. There are three to choose from - the Moment of Pause kit pillow sprays and G Spot Soothe; Rest & Reset kit with eye mask, vitamin gummies and G Spot Protect; and Power Up Kit, with protein balls, face masks and G Spot Lift. Each of the rooms bizarrely had their main window facing out to the corridor, although thankfully there were blinds for privacy. Advertisement I certainly had fun waiting for my friend to arrive, only to be able to wave to her from my bed through the massive panes of glass. Like other Yotel hotels, the beds can go from upright to fully flat with the click of the button, maximising the space. I don't recommend lying it down until you are ready for bed, as it takes up most of the room. But the classic white and purple hued 'pod' had all you need - side tables, charging ports, a full length mirror and even a foldaway table and chair underneath the huge TV. There is a privacy 'curtain' in front of the toilet and shower (with towels and Urban Jungle toiletries provided) but make sure you are staying with someone you are already close to. You can choose from standard singles to premium Queen rooms, with some of them even having bunkbeds. Rooms start from £105 a night. Check in from 6pm, check out at 9am. Being right by the airport, don't expect a full restaurant service. The hotel does have a snack menu, pizzas, curries and noodles. You can also order continental breakfast for £7.95, to have their or to go which includes cereal bars, yoghurt, croissants fruit and a hot drink. Otherwise just hop into the lift and go a floor up, and have all of the terminal restaurants, from Pret to Wagamama. Is the hotel family friendly?
