Marc quietly shut down the business at the end of 2024, rebranding the restaurant's Instagram profile to a new entity called 'Pulse Media.' Although Marc confirmed his restaurant's closure last year on Instagram, The Sun just went the extra mile to report on the news by publishing photos of the shuttered restaurant. The former location of the business has bright orange 'For Lease' signs plastered on every single window. The closure of Soco appears to be related to Marc's dire financial situation. Last year, we learned he was facing eviction from his Brooklyn apartment and owed nearly $10,000 in unpaid rent on various properties. According to his Instagram page, he's now leaving Brooklyn altogether. Marc wrote, 'Goodbye, Brooklyn. You will always be my hometown!' 'It is with a full heart that I announce the closure of Soco,' he continued. 'After 15 years of serving our wonderful community, it's time for me to explore a new adventure in media, so I move onward and upward.' In Marc's farewell post to Brooklyn and the restaurant he operated for 15 years, he said he was looking forward to his 'new venture in the South.' In another post, he hinted at an upcoming coffee business he's bringing to Atlanta. With Marc seemingly in Atlanta, co-parenting with Kenya is about to get a little easier. He has to pay her $2,000 in child support every month, so he might as well be a little closer to her, too. People came for one last meal and to say goodbye to the team, known for their friendly service and Southern-style food. The owners thanked guests for their support and asked everyone to keep supporting local restaurants in the area. ORLANDO, Fla. - Soco Thornton Park officially closed its doors on Sunday after nearly 11 years as a beloved part of Downtown Orlando's dining scene. The final day of service ran from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and guests attended for a farewell meal and to say goodbye to the team. What they're saying Executive Chef/Partner Greg Richie and the Soco Team shared a message to loyal customers on social media days before closing their doors. Part of the statement read: "Soco's legacy was earned through its signature style of Southern Contemporary Cuisine and commitment to excellence along with hospitable, welcoming service. We send our sincere thanks and deepest gratitude to our wonderful guests and team members who have taken this journey with us over our many years. Countless friendships and memories were shared along the way. Though Soco is closing, its spirit carries on. We hope thecamaraderie and sense of community will endure."
