Strasbourg set to sign Soumaila Coulibaly from Borussia Dortmund

Strasbourg are set to sign central defender Soumaila Coulibaly from Borussia Dortmund. The 21-year-old is expected to move for a fee of €7.5million plus €1m in add-ons. The France youth international spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Brest, where he made 16 appearances of which eight came in the Champions League. The centre-back spent 2023-24 on loan at Royal Antwerp in Belgium. Strasbourg are owned by Chelsea owners BlueCo, after the Todd Boehly-Clearlake Capital consortium took over the Ligue 1 club in June 2023, 11 months after buying the Premier League side. Coulibaly is in line to replace Mamadou Sarr after the 19-year-old defender moved to Chelsea in a €14million (£11.9m; $14.4m) transfer last month. (Fred Tanneau/AFP via Getty Images)
