Borussia Dortmund have brought back the loaned defender Soumaila Coulibaly a few weeks before originally planned, the Bundesliga club said in a statement on Thursday.
The player was expected to stay at French side Brest until the end of the month.

But Coulibaly is back in Dortmund and started recovery training as he's been out of action since March due to adductor problems.
If he's fit in time, he can take part in the Club World Cup in the United States on June 14-July 13.
Dortmund start their campaign against Brazilian side Fluminense on June 17.

Poku, a Netherlands U21 international, is looking forward to what lies ahead at his new club. 'Now I can hardly wait to join Leverkusen in the Bundesliga,' he said. Drew Brees praises the Kansas City Chiefs' consistency of success in the AFC
This week, Chiefs Wire's Ed Easton Jr. spoke to New Orleans Saints legend Drew Brees about his partnership with Jimmy John's, creating his personalized sandwich, The Brees #9, and he praises the Kansas City Chiefs' ongoing success in the AFC. "We love Jimmy John's so much. In college, we would go to the store, like at the very end of the night, when they were closing, to get all the French bread that was still available; otherwise, it would just go to waste, because they cook it fresh every day." said Brees, "We would take that home, and then we would, you know, do all kinds of different stuff. We make sandwiches with it or even go with butter, cinnamon, sugar, and toast like we would, because the bread was so dang good. But that's been a fan of Jimmy John's for a long time." Kansas City has won nine consecutive division titles, the second-longest streak of division championships in league history. Only the New England Patriots, who won 11 successive AFC East titles from 2009 to 2019, had a longer streak in NFL history. Brees weighed in on the key to their remarkable run in recent years. "Tons of respect to the Chiefs, because they have the bullseye on their chest. No matter who they play or where they go, they always have the bullseye on their chest. And yet they find ways to win. It's a ton of credit to Andy Reid and (Patrick) Mahomes, that whole crew, and just the mindset they've created," said Brees. "I think at some point, even look at Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. Brady and the (New England) Patriots kind of had the best of the (Indianapolis) Colts for a long time, and then finally, the Colts got over the hump with him, and he felt like he turned the tide a little bit, maybe just from a confidence perspective. But yeah, let's not forget (Joe) Burrow and the (Cincinnati) Bengals. Those are the best. The team that seems like they always play the Chiefs as tough as anybody. They've gotten ahead of their number a few times. So yeah, the AFC is pretty stout." Fans can order The Brees #9, Drew's personal Jimmy John's go-to order, for the first time. Available for a limited time through August 31st, the order supports Jimmy John's Foundation, benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Brees Dream Foundation.
