Charges laid in break-an-enter investigation in Innisfil

Two people are facing charges after police responded to a report of a break-in at a property in Innisfil early Monday morning. South Simcoe police officers responded to the call just after midnight on Thomas Street and say they found the passenger window of a Jaguar shattered and fingerprint markings on the vehicle. Police say through the investigation they also discovered another vehicle with 'significant front-end damage' parked on the 9th Line in town with a woman sitting inside. 'It was determined the female was wanted on an outstanding warrant for firearms-related offences with York Regional police,' South Simcoe police stated, adding she was found with methamphetamine and arrested. The K9 unit then located a 31-year-old man from North York who was allegedly connected with the investigation at another location on the 9th Line. He was arrested and charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit an indictable offence and mischief. The 33-year-old woman from Mississauga is charged with failing to comply with undertaking, possession of drugs, and possession of stolen property obtained by crime. Both were released with future court dates.
