SOUTH WINDSOR, CT. (WWLP) – A Springfield woman has turned herself in for a larceny from an Old Navy in South Windsor. Springfield police officer remembered for heroic act The South Windsor Police Department states that 37-year-old Brenda Figueroa of Springfield was identified as the suspect who stole $400 worth of merchandise at the Old Navy on Evergreen Way back in March. On Tuesday, Figueroa turned herself in at the police headquarters and was arrested on an active warrant. She was released on a $1,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled in Manchester Superior Court on June 18th. SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WWLP) – A woman from Springfield who had a warrant for her arrest in connection with larceny from Old Navy has turned herself in. In a news release from the South Windsor Police Department, 39-year-old allegedly stole approximately $550 worth of items from Old Navy in April. On Tuesday morning, she turned herself in at the police headquarters and was arrested for larceny. 3 Springfield women charged in shoplifting spree at outlet mall Rodriguez-Garay was released on a $500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to be in Manchester Superior Court on June 11th. Connecticut man arrested for driving with dog tied to vehicle

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WWLP) – A man from Connecticut was arrested and faces animal cruelty charges after he allegedly forgot his dog was tied to the back of his vehicle while driving. In a news release from the South Windsor Police Department, at around 5:56 p.m. on Monday, officers received two 911 calls, one from a witness who saw a vehicle driving on Buckland Road with his dog tethered to the back of the vehicle. The second call was from the dog's owner who stated that his dog had jumped out of his vehicle while he was driving. Springfield police warn residents of crypto and Bitcoin schemes The witness told police that he had to cut off the driver to get him to stop the vehicle. The dog's owner, identified as 26-year-old Tre Patrizz of Andover, took the gray pitbull to New England Veterinary Center in Windsor. Officers located Patrizz and took him into custody. He was charged with Tethering a Dog to a Mobile Device, Cruelty to Animals and held on a $10,000 surety bond. The dog has significant road rash to his underbelly and paws, and is expected to recover. Patrizz stated that he forgot the dog was tethered to the vehicle.
