Sunbliss Market wraps up with dynamic celebration of local talents, flavours

KUCHING (June 30): The Sunbliss Market, which featured a vibrant mix of handmade crafts, artisanal food stalls, live performances, and family-friendly activities, concluded with resounding success yesterday.
The four-day event, held at MJC Papillon Street Mall, attracted hundreds of visitors and showcased the best of local entrepreneurship, food and creativity, said the SME Association of Sarawak in a statement yesterday.
Highlights of the event included the Little Bosses Market, a colouring contest, and the fiery Spicy King Challenge, making it a fun-filled experience for families, food lovers, and shoppers alike.
With over 30 booths featuring local vendors and indie brands, the Sunbliss Market served as a dynamic platform to celebrate Sarawakian innovation, flavours and small business spirit.
As a proud supporter, the SME Association of Sarawak sponsored event lanyards for all participating vendors and helped amplify awareness through its network of entrepreneurs and members.
At the closing ceremony, SME Association of Sarawak deputy president Achin Wilson Injau and secretary general Alan Wei toured the market and engaged with vendors.
The event was further honoured by the presence of a political secretary to the Premier, Kho Teck Wan, who represented Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian.
In her speech, Kho commended the organisers for creating a meaningful platform that empowered small businesses and nurtured local talent.
Meanwhile, Achin said the success of Sunbliss Market reaffirmed the importance of collaborative community events that promote entrepreneurship and create inclusive spaces for families, youth and creative talents.
He added that SME Association of Sarawak remains committed to supporting grassroots initiatives that energise the local economy.
