Four men charged after suspected knife attack in Reading
Four men have been charged by police after three men were hospitalised following a suspected knife attack in Reading town centre.A man in his late teens and two others in their 20s and 30s were injured during the incident in St Mary's Butts at about 03:25 BST on Sunday. They have all since left Kirby, 34, of Reading, Thomas Latimer, 37, of Shinfield, and Khari Nelson, 28, of Calcot, were charged with one count of affray on Tuesday. Ashley Koroma, 19, also of Shinfield, was charged with one count of affray on four were remanded in custody and are due to appear at Reading Magistrates' Court later. Another two men, 27 and 34 respectively, both from Reading, who were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder have been bailed until 1 November. Forensics continue to investigate attempted murder after Reading man arrested
There is a major police presence as forensics continue to investigate an attempted murder after three men sustained injuries thought to be caused by a knife. A 34–year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in police custody. Thames Valley Police stated that three men, one in their late teens, one in his twenties, and one in his thirties, suffered serious injuries, thought to be caused by a knife, in St Mary's Butts at around 3.25am on August 10. All three were taken to hospital for treatment. The man in his late teens has been discharged, while the others remain in hospital. They were then confronted by a member of the public who used a knife to attack all three. Reading church cordoned off after teenager sexually assaulted
A teenager was the victim of a serious sexual assault in a town centre churchyard, police have Minster churchyard, in St Mary's Butts, was cordoned off after the attack in the early hours of Saturday Valley Police said the victim was a woman in her late teens and that no arrests had been made.A spokesperson said there would be an increased police presence while enquiries continued and appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.
