Cheating boyfriend caught through girlfriend's fake dating app trap

Stacey Eden says she first noticed her boyfriend's secretive behaviour in the way he used his phone. So, when she created a fake profile on a dating app and caught him red-handed about to cheat, she was devastated – but not surprised. The Sydney local first found out her partner was on the 'hook-up' app after a good Samaritan reached out on Facebook, saying she'd seen his profile. Ms Eden then decided to make a fake account on the same app, determined to track him down herself. At 1pm one recent afternoon, she 'liked' one of his photos. He messaged her first, using a misspelled name and claiming he had no social media in an attempt to conceal his real identity. After exchanging numbers that same day, Ms Eden, posing as another woman, received underwear selfies from her boyfriend, and she sent similar photos back. Later that evening, he agreed to meet his supposed date, and she saw this as her chance to confront him face-to-face. 'I had so many emotions going through my body,' Ms Eden told 'I spent the whole day thinking about it. I was full of adrenaline, shock, anger, sadness, and hurt that he was doing this to me.' She admitted she initially 'didn't want to believe it' and hoped it wasn't true, wanting to see the best in him. After finishing work, she drove to the meeting spot, which was two hours from where her boyfriend lived, and half an hour from her house. Around this time, her boyfriend messaged the 'real' Ms Eden, saying: 'I'm going to sleep baby, I'm getting tired … have a good shift at work'. Shortly after, at around 10pm, she filmed him getting out of his car and walking across the street to meet his 'date' at the fake address she'd given him. In a now-viral clip on TikTok, she showed herself crouching behind a wall, waiting. The footage then shows him pacing up and down, appearing to search for the address. In another video, Ms Eden shared the heated moment she confronted him. She can be heard asking, 'What are you doing?' to which he replied, 'I knew it was you'. His excuse was that he was just trying to prove it was her behind the profile. Even if she believed that, which she doesn't, she said all his actions leading up to the meetup were enough to consider him a cheater, even if it was just 'emotional cheating'. 'I ended things that night, and now I just pity him,' she said. Since then, he has repeatedly tried to contact her. 'I've blocked him on multiple accounts. He sent me food to apologise, turned up with flowers, breakfast, and gifts. He's really sorry and begging for another chance,' she shared. 'He said he will delete all his socials, give me passwords, give me his location …' But, for Ms Eden, 'It's too little, too late now'. For other women with similar suspicions about their partner, Ms Eden advises, 'Listen to your gut instinct and pay attention to the little things. 'There were so many signs leading up to it – never touching his phone around me, his excessive following list, his multiple social media accounts. Trust your intuition.'

Suspicious girlfriend sets a trap to catch her boyfriend cheating - and you won't believe his astonishing excuse when she busts him

An Aussie woman has caught her partner red-handed after she found him on a dating app and arranged to meet him under a fake profile. Stacey Eden, from Sydney, explained in a TikTok video that a Good Samaritan had let her know that her partner was using a dating app. Stacey then made a profile on the app and managed to track down her boyfriend. 'I liked his photo. He initiated the conversation with the fake profile - he messaged her,' she said. 'He sent her a name with the wrong spelling, he said he doesn't have any social media, he doesn't use it. 'He asked for her phone number, he then gave his phone number. He then asked her to message him on WhatsApp, which apparently he only uses for work. 'Then he sent her pictures of himself. Then she sent pictures of herself, and he sent more pictures of himself in his underwear.' Stacey said her partner agreed to meet up with the fake account. 'Then he decided, I'm going to drive two hours away and go and see this girl.' After a day's work, Stacey drove to the meeting location and filmed herself crouching behind a wall as she waited for her partner to arrive. 'Am I crazy? Yeah, I am. But these are the lengths I'll go to, to show someone that they're not to f*** with me' she confided. '...I have never felt this much adrenaline in my entire life.' Meanwhile, the boyfriend messaged the 'real' Stacey to say goodnight, telling her, 'I'm going to sleep baby, I'm getting tired... have a good shift at work'. 'He thinks I'm working a double shift - he thinks I'm working overnight while he's out galivanting with women.' Shortly afterwards he parked near Stacey's hiding spot. She had given him a fake address, and she filmed him wandering up and down the road searching in vain for it. 'I'm going to go confront him,' she said finally. She could then be heard asking, 'what are you doing?' while her partner responded, 'I knew it was you'. The man claimed he had made the trip to meet up with the fake profile in an effort to prove it was Stacey. 'This can be our final goodbye,' she concluded after a tense back and forth. 'Everyone keeps saying it doesn't count because I set him up,' Stacey later reflected. 'Did I though? Did I really set him up or did I just give him an opportunity to make a choice? Because it seems to me that he made his choice. 'And he keeps saying "but I knew it was you, I only went because I knew it was you." 'Okay, so what about all the other things you did? That doesn't count as cheating? Because in my books it counts as cheating.' Stacey also revealed this was the second time she had caught her boyfriend cheating on her. 'I tried to show him how much I loved him - I tried to show him that he was deserving of that love even after he cheated on me because I know what he did came from a place of self hatred,' she explained. 'It came from a place of self-sabotage because he did not believe he was worthy of that love.
