Control room set up in Haj House for pilgrims' convenience
Hyderabad: To ensure round-the-clock communication with Haj pilgrims and State Haj inspectors and to facilitate their convenience, a dedicated control room has been established at the Telangana State Haj Committee office. The control room was formally inaugurated by Maulana Syed Shah Khusro Pasha, Chairman of the Telangana State Haj Committee. On this occasion, Khusro Pasha stated that the Control Room will operate 24 hours and has been divided into three shifts of eight hours each, with three staff members per shift to ensure continuous support and communication. He further informed that although the control room was officially inaugurated now, it has been operational since May 28, coinciding with the departure of the last and 30th batch of Haj pilgrims. The staff has been in constant contact with pilgrims and State Haj inspectors, regularly checking on their well-being. Khusro Pasha added that the Haj rituals are scheduled to begin on June 3, and the control room will continue functioning until July 9, ensuring smooth coordination until the safe return of all pilgrims. Sajjad Ali, Executive Officer, and Mohammed Mujeebuddin, Member of the Telangana State Haj Committee were present. 24th batch of Haj pilgrims flagged off
Hyderabad: The 24th batch of 295 Haj pilgrims was ceremoniously flagged off on Monday by Assembly Speaker G Prasad Kumar at the Hyderabad Embarkation Point located at Haj House, Nampally. At the farewell ceremony, he congratulated the pilgrims and extended heartfelt wishes for a safe and spiritually fulfilling journey. Prasad emphasised the significance of Haj and advised the pilgrims to embrace positive transformation in their lives upon their return. 'When you sincerely ask forgiveness from Allah, He will forgive you,' he said, encouraging the gathering to seek spiritual uplift during the pilgrimage. Syed Gulam Afzal Biyabani Khusro Pasha, chairman, State Haj Committee, urged both pilgrims and designated State Haj inspectors to assist elderly pilgrims throughout the journey and to seek their blessings. He expressed joy that the pilgrims this year are fortunate to perform 'Haj Akbar', a rare and highly significant occasion in the Islamic calendar. Sajjad Ali, executive officer, State Haj Committee, welcoming the pilgrims assured them of full support for a smooth and comfortable pilgrimage. The event was marked by a spirit of devotion, unity and care, as the pilgrims prepared to embark on their sacred journey to the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.

Haj operations to start on Friday
Arrangements are in place for the Haj operations from Kerala. Pilgrims from the State will fly to Makkah from three embarkation points: Kozhikode, Kannur and Kochi. The first Haj flight from Kerala under the supervision of the State Haj Committee will depart from Calicut International Airport, Karipur, at 1.05 a.m. on May 10. The pilgrims of the inaugural flight (IX3011) should report at Karipur by 9 a.m. on Friday (May 9). Those travelling on the second flight (IX 3031) should report at the camp at 3 p.m. on Friday. The pilgrims should report near pillar number 5 at the airport. State Haj inspectors travelling with each flight groups will inform the pilgrims of their detailed journey schedule. The last flight from Karipur will be on May 22. There will be 31 flights from Karipur to carry 5,361 pilgrims. The inaugural flight from Kannur will leave at 4 a.m. on May 11. As many as 4,929 pilgrims will be flying from Kannur, including 73 from Karnataka and 31 from Mahe. Pilgrims of the inaugural flight from Kannur (IX3041) should report at 10 a.m. on May 10. Those travelling on the second flight (IX3043) at 7.30 p.m. on May 11 should report at 6 a.m. on May 11. All pilgrims should report first at the airport registration counters. They will be guided to Haj camps after handing over their baggage at the airport. The inaugural Haj flight from Cochin International Airport, Nedumbassery, will leave on May 16. A three-member Central Haj Committee group comprising Hasham Parkar, Ahmed Shaikh and Abdul Wahid Muqaddam reached Karipur on Tuesday and reviewed the preparations.
