YouTuber Jasbir Singh Sent To 2-Day Police Remand In Pak-Linked Espionage Case
Social media influencer Jasbir Singh, who was arrested by Punjab Police on charges of espionage, has been sent to two days of police remand by a Mohali court on Saturday. "The police had asked for 7 days remand... We asked the police through the court what they did in 3 days. Today, he has been sent to a 2-day police remand," ANI quoted Jasbir's lawyer as saying. Jasbir, who runs a YouTube channel "JaanMahal Video" with over 11 lakh subscribers, was arrested by the Punjab Police's State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) on June 4 on espionage charges. According to the Police, Jasbir is allegedly linked to a terror-backed espionage network involving Pakistani intelligence operative Shakir alias Jutt Randhawa. The YouTuber is said to have maintained close contact with Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who was arrested last month for spying, and Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, a Pakistani national and expelled Pakistan High Commission official, ANI quoted police as saying.

IEDs, RPGs and grenades recovered in SBS Nagar district in Punjab
CHANDIGARH: In a major blow to Pakistan's ISI-backed cross-border terror networks, the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Amritsar of Punjab Police, in a joint operation with a central agency, recovered a large cache of terror hardware. The cache was recovered during an intelligence-led operation carried out at a secluded forested area near Tibba Nangal-Kular Road in the SBS Nagar district of the State. Director General of Police, Punjab, Gaurav Yadav said that the recovered terror hardware includes two Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs), two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), five P-86 Hand Grenades and one wireless communication set with accessories. Yadav said that the preliminary investigation has revealed that the recovered consignment was deliberately concealed by hostile operatives as part of a premeditated plan to disrupt public order in the state. "Probe has also indicated a coordinated effort by Pakistan's ISI and allied terror outfits, to revive dormant sleeper cells in the State,'' he said.

Two RPGs, five grenades recovered in Punjab's Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar
A cache of ammunition, including two rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) and five hand-grenades, were recovered from Punjab's Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar (formerly Nawanshahr) district, the state police chief said on Tuesday. 'Preliminary probe indicates a coordinated operation by #Pakistan's ISI and allied terror outfits to revive sleeper cells in #Punjab,' director general of police Gaurav Yadav said in a post on X. In a joint operation with a central agency, Punjab Police recovered the cache of terrorist hardware in an intelligence-led operation in a forest area near Tibba Nangal Kular Road, SBS Nagar, he said. He said two RPGs, two improvised explosive devices (IEDs), five hand-grenades and a wireless communication set have been recovered. A case has been registered at the police station of the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) in Amritsar.
