Car with planks of wood sticking out of window stopped by police in Bradford
A DRIVER has been reported after police in Bradford came across a vehicle with planks of wood sticking out of the window. Officers from the Steerside Enforcement Team stopped the Vauxhall after spotting it in the Kings Road area of the city. The car had around a half dozen planks of wood sticking outside of the passenger window. A spokesperson for the Steerside Enforcement Team said: "We came across this Vauxhall on Kings Road with an obviously dangerous load." "The driver was reported for the offence."

Car seized in Bradford after driver tried to hide from police
POLICE have seized a car in Bradford after it turned out the driver did not have a licence. The Volkswagen was stopped by officers from West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team. A spokesperson from the team said: "The driver of this Volkswagen appeared to be hiding, and tried a bit of ducking and diving before being stopped on Bell Dean Road. "He had good reason to hide as it turned out he had no licence. "The vehicle was seized and the driver reported." Driving without a valid licence is an offence which is taken seriously. It can lead to penalty points, fines and a driving ban. Operation Steerside was formed in 2016 - two months after the Telegraph & Argus launched its 'Stop the Danger Drivers' campaign. Police detain motorbike rider after he gets stuck in mud
POLICE detained a motorbike rider after he got stuck in mud. Officers from West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team were deployed to Pitty Beck in Bradford on the back of community intelligence. A spokesperson from the team said: "The adult rider of this motorbike got himself stuck in the mud where we detained him. "The rider was reported for document offences and the bike was seized for examination." Disqualified driver reported for offences after police stop on Bradford road
A CAR was seized and its driver reported to court following a police stop on a Bradford road. Steerside Enforcement Team officers stopped a Volkswagen on Queens Road and checks revealed that the driver was disqualified and uninsured. A spokesperson for the Steerside Enforcement Team said: "During targeted patrols, this Volkswagen was stopped on Queens Road. "The driver was found to be disqualified and uninsured. "The vehicle was seized and the driver reported to court."
