Stoked just made skating in Sahel a thing at Playa. Aug 13, 2025 The North Coast is full of things to do, and, week by week, the list of possible activities only grows. Stoked, an Egyptian startup with a mission to develop Egypt's outdoor sports and recreational attractions, is bringing a rad new activity to Sahel: skating. Stoked's Sahel skatepark provides skaters with one of the biggest skating spaces in Egypt, featuring ramps, rails, tubes, all the things to make your Tony Hawk dreams come true - all accompanied by a sweet beach breeze. Who needs California? The skatepark is located in Playa, at the 146th KM on the Alexandria-Matrouh road, and will officially open its doors on August 15th.

Wild Lakes Wales Aqua Park reopening for summer this weekend
The aqua park at Wild Lakes Wales in Martletwy will open from 11am to 4pm the next few days and it will remain open every weekend until the end of the summer holidays later in the year. The business is run by three local siblings, Mark, Sarah and Stephanie Harris. The business offers Ringo. (Image: Wild Lake Wales) Wakeboarding sessions are available from April to end of November. (Image: Wild Lake Wales) Part-owner Stephanie said: 'We started with an empty field in 2016 and have built everything on site that you see, employing around 50 members of staff during peak season. 'It's been a lot easier to organise with the hot weather. We have changed the layout with regards to the seating area, but the rest of the park has remained the same. 'We always get a good response from locals. Throughout the summer we are usually fully booked. We have also recently bought six acres of land next door to our current site and have plans in the pipeline to expand.' The bouldering wall is open year-round. Wild Lakes Wales has over 160 reviews on Tripadvisor and an average rating of 4.9 stars out of 5, besides around 500 reviews on Facebook and a recommendation ratio of 94%. Would highly recommend to anyone. 'Staff were great, all friendly and helpful. Our instructor Josh was brilliant, tailored his advice and encouraged us to progress. 'Lunch in Stoked was so good, flavours were delicious and quick service, we all thoroughly enjoyed each of the dishes we ordered. Highly recommend and will visit again next time we holiday this way.'
